Fleury will be between the pipes for Saturday's regular-season finale against the Sabres.
It's certainly not ideal to turn to Fleury on back-to-back nights, but after the Penguins couldn't close the deal Friday night against the Islanders, coach Mike Johnston will be forced to stick with his No. 1 netminder as the team looks to earn a playoff berth. A match against the league's worst team is normally a layup for most goalies, but Fleury hasn't made things easy on himself with a decline in his performance down the stretch. He's lost six of his last seven outings while conceding three of more goals in all but one of those games.

Fleury surrendered three goals on 26 shots as the Penguins fell by a 3-1 count Friday against the Islanders.
The Islanders used a two-goal third period to pull away from the Penguins, who remain on the playoff bubble heading into Game 82 of the season Saturday against the Sabres. While Friday's loss won't help Fleury's efforts to shed the "choker" label, he actually played fairly well in this one, earning the game's third star while keeping the Pens competitive for most of the night despite the offense's failure to get much going. With their postseason hopes on the line Saturday, expect Fleury to return to the crease.

Fleury will be in the crease for Friday's game against the Islanders.
Despite their best efforts of late to give away a spot, Fleury and the Penguins can clinch a postseason berth if they're able to upend the Islanders, who claimed their own trip to the playoffs with the Bruins losing on Thursday. Even if the Islanders choose to rest some regulars, it's hard to bank on Fleury coming through in the clutch, as he's yielded exactly four goals in three straight outings, with his latest defeat coming after the Penguins staked him to a 3-0 lead. Use him with caution.

Fleury stopped 40 of 44 shots in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Senators on Tuesday.
He did everything he could to help earn Pittsburgh at least one point, even though the Pens blew a three-goal lead. Fleury will almost surely start Friday at home against the Isles with a postseason birth hanging in the balance. He could start Saturday, too, if the Pens find a way to blow yet another game.

Fleury is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Sens, Josh Yohe of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
Fleury, who gave up four goals on 34 shots in a 5-3 defeat to the Blue Jackets on Saturday, returns to the Pittsburgh net after giving way to Thomas Greiss in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Flyers. The Penguins will thus look to snap a three-game slide that has left them just two points ahead of the Sens, who are in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings with 93 points through 79 games.

Fleury gave up four goals on 34 shots in a 5-3 loss to Columbus on Saturday.
Giveaways and defensive breakdowns in front of Fleury doomed his performance Saturday afternoon. The Pittsburgh goalie is not expected to play Sunday in Philadelphia, where he holds a 13-6-1 mark, 2.94 GAA and .903 save percentage.

Fleury will get the nod Saturday afternoon in Columbus.
Fleury has played well enough to win in recent weeks, but the team hasn't scored many goals. He holds a 7-2-1 career mark against the Blue Jackets, with a 2.24 GAA and .927 save percentage. The Pens goalie stopped 22 shots in a 5-3 win over Columbus on March 1, but the Blue Jackets are currently one of the hottest teams in the NHL.

Fleury will be between the pipes for Saturday's game against the Blue Jackets.
The Pens' 3-6-1 mark over their last 10 games has sunk the team to seventh in the Eastern Conference, putting its once surefire postseason bid under some pressure right now. As a result, coach Mike Johnston will stick with his No. 1 netminder for the first game of a back-to-back set, despite Fleury's own downturn in performance of late. It's probably still worthwhile for those in season-long leagues to keep Fleury active for Saturday's tilt, but those playing in daily formats may want to take a look at other options. Fleury will be going up against the league's hottest goalie in Sergei Bobrovsky, who is riding a seven-game winning streak entering play Saturday.

Fleury had a rough game Wednesday, but his season to date has not left fantasy owners disappointed. He's currently in the top 10 in the league in wins and GAA, and his nine shutouts lead the entire NHL.
