Fleury has been confirmed as the starter in goal for Saturday's game against the Kings. As anticipated, Fleury will enter the net for his 51st appearance of the season. After winning three consecutive games, Fleury has backslid a little bit over his last two turns, surrendering three goals in both games while posting save percentages below .900.

Fleury is projected to receive the start in goal Saturday against the Kings, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. The Penguins went with backup Thomas Greiss for the first game of a back-to-back set Friday against the Ducks, so it seems highly likely that Fleury will be back in the crease for the second half of the twin bill. Over seven career outings against the Kings, Fleury is 5-2-0 with a 1.95 GAA and .938 save percentage.

Fleury gave up three goals on just 22 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Avalanche on Wednesday. He is now 3-3-1 in his last seven starts. That's three straight games now that the Flower has allowed three goals, although that was good enough for wins against Columbus and Washington as the Pens were able to provide more offensive support. His ratios still sit at a very solid .923 save percentage and 2.21 GAA, so look for Fleury to start finding the win column more frequently as the Pens look to secure a top seed in the East.

Fleury will start in net Wednesday against the Avalanche. Fleury has now won three straight starts, despite allowing three goals in each of the last two. A fourth consecutive victory would give the 30-year-old the seventh 30-win season of his career.

Fleury collected his third straight winning stopping 22 shots in a 5-3 victory over Columbus on Sunday. Two third-period, Blue Jackets' goals statistically ruined what had the makings of an even-more profitable showing by the Pittsburgh goaltender. He's given up three goals in each of his last two starts after limiting opponents to seven goals in seven games. Nevertheless, Fleury improves to 29-13-6. Pittsburgh travels to the Western Conference in the coming week and it's possible Fleury makes just two starts with back-to-back contests Friday and Saturday.

Fleury will start between the pipes Sunday against the Blue Jackets. Fleury is carrying two straight victories with him into Sunday's matchup despite allowing three goals against the Capitals last Wednesday. He will look to push that streak to three Sunday, facing a Columbus team in the bottom third in league scoring (2.51 G/GP).

Fleury made 21 saves in a 4-3 win against the Capitals on Wednesday. A couple of the goals could be considered soft, but he also stoned Joel Ward on a 2-on-0 and stuffed other Washington opportunities. Fleury ranks seventh in the NHL with 28 wins and doesn't appear likely to reach the 40-win mark, despite playing some of the best hockey of his career.

Fleury was first off the ice at the Penguins' morning skate, indicating that he is in line to start Wednesday's game against the Caps, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. No surprise there, as Fleury has allowed seven goals over his last seven turns and is thus in line to see the bulk of the Penguins' starts in net moving forward, assuming his health.

Fleury will start for the Penguins against the Panthers Sunday, Josh Yohe of the Tribune-Review reports.Fleury will take back the net after a night off Saturday and will try to get the Penguins back on track. The veteran has taken three straight losses, but didn't allow more than two goals in any of them.

With Thomas Greiss getting the nod Saturday, look for Fleury to start Sunday at home against the Panthers.Fleury gets the safer start but nothing has come easily for Pittsburgh lately. The Penguins hold a losing record since Dec. 22, going 10-11-5.
