Turris is heading to Nashville, and signing a six-year $36 million deal Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nashville has cemented their center depth in their top-six forward core, as Turris and Ryan Johansen are now both locked in for the long term. Turris has shown he can be a strong two-way player, as he's already recorded nine points in 11 games to start the year after posting 55 points in 78 games during the 2016-17 season, and shown excellent defensive vision on the back-check. The 28-year-old will likely slot into the second line with Filip Forsberg and Craig Smith, and should continue to see power-play time on his new team as well.

Turris was almost traded to the Predators in a three-team deal that fell through Friday, theScore.com reports. Colorado center Matt Duchene was expected to go to Ottawa and several draft picks and prospects were also believed to have been included in the rumored blockbuster.
EDGE Analysis
While Turris' eight points -- three goals -- through 10 games this season stand out, he's also squeezed the offense into just four games. Still, it's surprising to see his name pop up in trade rumors. After all, the 28-year-old center recorded a career-high 27 goals last year, and he's established himself as a key cog for the Sens. It might have been more contract related than anything, though. Turris is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and will likely be looking for a raise on his current $3.5 million deal.

Turris (illness) has declared himself fit to play in Thursday's home game against the Red Wings, Ian Mendes of TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Senators will gladly accept this positive development, as the team has lost three of its past four games and were shellacked 8-3 by the Canadiens the last time out. Turris has provided his fantasy owners with three goals and five assists through nine games this season, so he'll be well worth reactivating in virtual settings.

Turris (illness) won't play Monday against Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Turris was already a doubt entering Monday, so the announcement doesn't come as much of a surprise. That being said, Turris was able to skate for the second straight day and head coach Guy Boucher said that the player was feeling better. The Sens will be hoping to have Turris and his eight points in the lineup Thursday against Detroit.

Turris (illness) is unlikely to play Monday against Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Ottawa's No. 1 centerman has already missed the team's last two games, and though he's doubtful Monday, he was able to practice Sunday while wearing a non-contact jersey. Whether or not Turris is able to take part in Monday's morning skate -- and whether it's with contact or not -- will be a good indicator of his chances to face Montreal.

Turris (illness) will not be available for either of the Senators' next two games, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Turris is apparently dealing with a viral infection which will keep him sidelined. Its unclear whether the center's condition will clear up in time for Monday's matchup with Montreal. In the meantime, Ottawa has called up Filip Chlapik and Max McCormick, who will slot into the fourth line, in addition to suiting up seven defensemen versus Philadelphia on Thursday.

Turris will not play Thursday as the Senators deal with illness going through their locker room, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Senators really can't catch a break with missing players, as Turris now joins Bobby Ryan on the sidelines. The good news is that he shouldn't miss more than this week's games, but his owners should make sure they have someone to plug in their lineup for Thursday and Friday.

Turris collected two goals -- including a power-play tally -- on top of an assist in Saturday's 6-1 thrashing of the host Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old center is off to a blazing start, as he has five helpers in as many games and two more goals to boot. He won't be able to sustain his 4:53 of man-advantage ice time, but he's already collected three points in that special teams situation and Turris could reach even greater heights when two-time Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson (foot) ultimately returns from injury.

Turris shrugged off talk that he'll be traded during the season because he's in the final year of his contract, the Ottawa Citizen reports.
EDGE Analysis
The sticking point appears to be the length of a deal, as the Citizen reported that the Senators don't want to go past six years, while Turris' agent wants seven years. Turris hasn't yet registered a point in two games, but he remains in a good situation in Ottawa. If he's able to ignore the speculation, he should start to produce on the Senators' swing through Western Canada.

Turris potted a power-play goal Saturday in a 9-2 preseason road loss to the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Patience paid off, as No. 7 stayed with the play in front of the net and drove in a Chris Wideman rebound for his second goal of the preseason. Turris has accumulated 311 points (133 goals, 178 assists) in 533 career contests. He's a smooth operator in all three zones and can dangle with the best of them. View him as a quality No. 2 or 3 fantasy center.
