Quincey (ankle) will return to the lineup against the Kings on Monday, per Red Wings GM Ken Holland, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As Khan points out, Quincey won't return as soon as Sunday in Anaheim in order for the defenseman to avoid playing in back-to-back contests. But to make room for Quincey on the roster, the Red Wings have waived Jakub Kindl, per Elliotte Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada.

Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said Quincey (ankle) will return at some point during their six-game road trip that ends Jan. 14, but won't be back Thursday evening against the Sharks, Dana Wakiji of FOX Sports Detroit reports.
EDGE Analysis
After Thursday, Detroit has three games remaining on this latest road trip and it sounds like he'll be ready to play at some point during that stretch. Alexei Marchenko, for one, has started to pick up plenty of minutes on the blue line with Quincey out, logging at least 20 minutes of ice time in each of the last two contests.

Quincey (ankle) hopes to rejoin the lineup for Thursday's game against the Sharks, Brendan Savage of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This news essentially rules him out for Monday's contest, but it certainly appears as if a return is just around the corner. The team should provide an update on his status confirming whether or not he will return Thursday.

Quincey (ankle) is drawing closer to a return but will not be ready Saturday against the Sabres, according to Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Based on the report, it appears that Quincey is questionable for Monday's road contest in New Jersey. It's been a troubling campaign for the 30-year-old defenseman as concussion and ankle injuries have limited him to seven games.

Quincey (ankle) is expected to rejoin the lineup in early January, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Quincey underwent surgery in mid-November to repair some bone chips in his right ankle, and was slated to miss 9-12 weeks. The updated timetable would put him well ahead of that schedule, but more on a potential return date should become available as it returns.

Quincey (ankle) resumed skating Thursday, but is likely to be out until late January.
EDGE Analysis
In mid-November, Quincey underwent surgery to repair bone chips in his right ankle. His original return timetable was set at 9-to-12 weeks, and he's just over five weeks deep into the recovery process. Given that he's now undergone two ankle operations in as many seasons, Quincey appears to have a long road ahead of him in terms of returning to full health and making an impact as a defenseman for the Wings.

Quincey will be out 9-to-12 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair bone chips in his right ankle Saturday, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Quincey had hoped he could return in six weeks, but now he is expected to be out for up to three months. As a result, we believe Jakub Kindl will continue getting consistent minutes on the third defensive pairing with Alexei Marchenko.

Quincey (ankle) will undergo surgery on Saturday and is expected to miss six weeks, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Quincey and the Red Wings' worst fears have been realized, with the player to undergo his second ankle operation in as many years. If all goes well in his recovery, Quincey should immediately jump back in to the lineup upon his return. Until then, look for Jakub Kindl to be a consistent presence on the Detroit blueline.

Quincey (ankle) will seek an opinion from the doctor who operated on his other ankle last year on Tuesday, Chuck Pleiness of Macombe Daily reports.
EDGE Analysis
There is no timetable for Quincey's return, and this news isn't encouraging. As noted, Quincey sustained an ankle injury last season which caused him to miss nine games, so hopefully this injury isn't as serious. Quincey is a solid defenseman who logs around 20 minutes per night, though has scored more than 30 points in a season only once in his career (2008-09).

Quincey has put his concussion injury behind him but is now dealing with an ankle injury and remains out indefinitely, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The report adds that Quincey is being evaluated to see if he will ultimately require surgery on the ankle. Alexei Marchenko has been receiving ice time on the third defensive pairing with Jakub Kindl since Quincey off the rink.
