Versteeg notched a power-play goal and an assist in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Both points came in the third period with the Flames nursing healthy leads, but they're appreciated by fantasy owners just the same. Versteeg has quietly been hot for about a month, as he's operating at a point-per-game pace over his last 11 contests, with six of those points having come on the man advantage.

Versteeg scored a goal and assist on the power play in the third period of Monday's win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old veteran has shown fantasy upside with Calgary, but his game-to-game consistency likely doesn't move the needle outside of deep seasonal leagues. Versteeg has posted five goals and 14 points through 22 games for the year, but his lack of peripheral contributions also limit his fantasy upside, as he has just 30 shots, 10 blocked shots, six PIM and two hits.

Versteeg (upper body) will return Wednesday night versus the Lightning, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Versteeg reportedly will slot in on the third line opposite Troy Brouwer, a chippy two-way player, and he'll see the red-hot Sean Monahan -- nine points in the last seven games -- down the middle. It's possible that Versteeg comes at a discount in daily fantasy formats given that he's missed the past two games and is unequivocally past his prime as a guy who had trouble finding work in the offseason. However, consider rolling with Versteeg as he has a juicy line assignment and plays on a team gunning for its seventh straight win.

Versteeg (upper body) is close to returning and is considered questionable ahead of Wednesday's home game against the Lightning, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Versteeg is likely chomping at the bit to get back into the lineup for the Flames, who are currently riding a six-game winning streak behind some excellent goalie play from Chad Johnson. Expect an update on the 30-year-old ahead of Wednesday's puck drop in Calgary.

Versteeg (upper body) practiced Saturday but did not take part in line drills, indicating that he likely won't play Saturday night's game against the Jets, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 reports.
EDGE Analysis
The fact that Versteeg practiced is encouraging and, assuming he doesn't suit up Saturday, he'll have four full days to get healthy before the Flames' next game against the Lightning on Wednesday. Look for Michael Ferland and perhaps Matthew Tkachuk to pick up the slack in Versteeg's absence.

Versteeg will not suit up for Thursday's road matchup against the Coyotes due to an upper-body injury, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Versteeg apparently aggravated the injury either during Tuesday night's win over the Stars or during a practice since then, but either way, he will miss his eleventh game of the season overall. The 30-year-old winger was riding a five-game point streak, during which he managed two goals and four assists, so it's tough to see him go down while he and his team are so hot right now.

Versteeg scored a first-period goal with two shots on net over 16:56 of ice time (3:30 on the power play) during Friday's win over the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Now sporting a three-game point streak with eight shots on net during the stretch, Versteeg is a potential grab in deep seasonal leagues. He's also worth a look as a low-priced flier in daily contests. The fantasy ceiling isn't that high, but as long as Versteeg is playing a top-six role and receiving hefty power-play minutes, he has a respectable nightly floor.

Versteeg (undisclosed) will return to the lineup for Sunday's contests against the Flyers, Roger Millions of Sportsnet Calgary reports.
EDGE Analysis
Versteeg has missed 10 of the last 11 games because of an undisclosed issue, but appears to be doing better ahead of Sunday's contest. When healthy, the winger has notched five points in 13 contests and owns a plus-5 rating on the season. He skated with Troy Brouwer and Sean Monahan the last time he dressed and may be in line to do so again Sunday.

Versteeg (undisclosed) will be a game-time call for Sunday's road match against the Flyers, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Versteeg has missed nine of the past 10 games, though it's not clear if this latest setback is related to the groin injury that had previously kept him off the ice. Of course, even when healthy, the veteran hasn't been rewarded with a substantial role in his first go-around with the Flames -- 12:22 of average ice time in 13 games. As a result, there's probably going to be a lack of fantasy owners sweating out his status for the next game.

Versteeg (undisclosed) did not participate in warmups and so is unlikely to play Friday's game in Boston, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Versteeg will miss another game after returning from a nine-game absence Wednesday. Michael Ferland is poised to take Versteeg's spot on the second line and Sam Bennett stands to see more ice time as well.
