Kris Versteeg will carry a four-game pointless drought into Monday's game versus Vancouver.
The skid represents the longest that Versteeg has gone without a point in 2011-12. He leads the Panthers with 17 goals and 38 points in 40 games. We expect him to end his drought shortly.

Kris Versteeg was given the day off Monday to rest.
Coach Kevin Dineen said the team's leading scorer is not injured, but he has been taking some bumps and bruises lately. Versteeg should be available for Tuesday's game against Phoenix, but we'll let you know if his status changes.

Kris Versteeg took Monday's practice off.
It sounds like Versteeg was resting after sustaining various bumps and bruises during the Panthers' last two games. We'll err on the side of caution and list him as injured, but we still think he's very probable for Tuesday's game.

Kris Versteeg's OT game-winner fueled a 3-2 overtime win for the Florida Panthers.
Versteeg notched his 16th goal in 32 games this season. The frequently traded winger now has 34 points in 2011-12. Versteeg has six points in his last six contests, so he's clearly not slowing down after a surprisingly strong start.

Kris Versteeg scored both Florida goals in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Devils Tuesday.
With tonight's pair, Versteeg has now recorded 15 markers on the campaign and is well on his way to a career season with the Panthers. For those of you in leagues that reward shorthanded goals, the second of Versteeg's goals came on a penalty kill.

Kris Versteeg potted a goal in the Panthers' 2-0 victory over the Boston Bruins Tursday night.
With the goal tonight, Versteeg now has a whopping 29 points in 27 games on the season. He's been one of the Panthers' best players this season and playing above the highest level we'd thought he'd reach in his career. Good job if you were able to pick him up early in the season in your free agent pool.

Kris Versteeg said he missed Thursday's game because of whiplash symptoms and headaches, not because of his fractured nose.
"I wouldn't miss a game with a broken nose," Versteeg said. "I just had to get cleared by everyone." The good news is Versteeg took part in Friday's practice and should play Saturday. He's been one of the Panthers' best players with 12 goals and 26 points in 24 games.

Kris Versteeg missed the Florida Panthers' 2-1 loss in Los Angeles Thursday night but that's the only game he'll miss.
The Panthers say the right winger will be back in the lineup when they visit the San Jose Sharks Saturday. He'll almost certainly be wearing some sort of protection for the nose he broke earlier this week.

Kris Versteeg won't play on Thursday night in Los Angeles due to an undisclosed injury.
He may have sustained a broken nose after being hit in the head by an elbow from Carolina's Derek Joslin on Tuesday. The Panthers recalled Bracken Kearns to replace him in the lineup. Consider Versteeg day-to-day until the team provide more details on his status.
