Kris Versteeg said he missed Thursday's game because of whiplash symptoms and headaches, not because of his fractured nose. "I wouldn't miss a game with a broken nose," Versteeg said. "I just had to get cleared by everyone." The good news is Versteeg took part in Friday's practice and should play Saturday. He's been one of the Panthers' best players with 12 goals and 26 points in 24 games.
