Faulk will suit up Tuesday against San Jose, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Faulk was sidelined for the last three contests, but will return to the lineup Tuesday. Prior to the injury, the defenseman was left off the scoresheet in each of the Canes previous three matchups, but should be able to end his scoring drought soon. Given the lack of scoring from the back end, Faulk will likely resume his spot on the Carolina power play as one of the only offensively-minded blueliners on the team.

Faulk (upper body) worked on the first power-play unit Tuesday morning, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports. This presumably increases his chances of playing in the evening's home contest against the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Faulk has missed the past three games with the upper-body ailment and remains on injured reserve, but his appearing on the power-play unit on game day certainly points to a return in this next contest. The smooth-skating rearguard is critical to the team's success as he logs plenty of minutes (24:10 this season) and is a weapon in the attacking zone (three goals, three assists in 11 games).

Faulk (upper body) has not been ruled out Tuesday and remains day-to-day, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Bill Peters seems more optimistic that Faulk could be ready Friday against Montreal, but refused to rule the blueliner out against the Sharks on Tuesday. Carolina will need to active Faulk off injured reserve before he can suit up, so look for an update from the team once he has been cleared to return.

Faulk (upper body) has been placed on injured reserve.
EDGE Analysis
The prolific puck-moving blueliner will be eligible to return Nov. 15 for a home game against the Sharks. Look for Ryan Murphy or Jakub Nakladal to see an increase in playing time, albeit on the bottom pair, while Faulk's in recovery mode.

Faulk (upper body) was ruled out for the next three contests Tuesday, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Bill Peters told reporters that Faulk was week-to-week with this upper-body injury. With the 24-year-old sidelined, the Hurricanes already weak blue line loses perhaps their top defender and a critical piece of their power play. Brett Pesce will likely see the biggest uptick in ice time during Faulk's absence.

Faulk (undisclosed) will not play Tuesday night against the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Faulk did not travel to New Jersey for the game, as the team awaits the result of Monday's MRI performed on the defenseman. Hopefully, the injury doesn't keep Faulk out long term; he picks up plenty of minutes on the blue line, including with the man advantage, and has six points in 11 games on the young season. We'll see if Faulk can give it a go against the Ducks on Thursday.

Faulk (undisclosed) had an MRI done Monday, which puts his status for Tuesday's matchup the Devils into question.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Bill Peters was rather vague when describing Faulk's injury, calling it "upper or middle body" which is a lengthy list of possibilities. Either way, an extended absence for the defenseman could lead to some hand wringing among fantasy owners. Over the course of the first 11 games of the season, the 24-year-old has tallied six points, three of which have come on the power play, and should continue to see opportunities with the man advantage once he is cleared to return.

Faulk departed Sunday's game against the Devils with an undisclosed injury and will not return.
EDGE Analysis
Faulk is arguably the most valuable player on the Canes and is the anchor of their defense. It's unclear as to what type of injury he sustained or how severe it is, so look for further updates after the game and in the coming days. Through 10 games this season, the American rearguard has six points.

Faulk scored a goal in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old had a great start to the year, scoring four points in his first three games, however, he only scored two points in the next five games. He's been an impressive offensive defender the last few years, and if he's able to find his production from the beginning of the year again, he will be a solid fantasy play.

Faulk scored a goal and added an assist in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to Vancouver.
EDGE Analysis
The American rearguard has started the season with a bang, notching three points in his first two games. With 37 points in an injury-shortened 64-game campaign last year -- a rate of 0.58 points per game -- Faulk quietly delighted fantasy owners with above average production from the blue line. 12 of his impressive 16 goals came on the power play, as well, so it'll be interesting to see what he's capable of as he enters his prime at the age of 24.
