Morrissey (lower body) isn't dealing with a major injury, though he is still questionable for Thursday's road game against the Canadiens, Paul Friesen of Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
It doesn't seem like Morrissey is talked about all that much, but he's making serious noise this season based on six goals and a career-high 23 assists through 51 games. Additionally, Morrissey has assumed a role on the top power-play unit that has translated to seven goals and seven helpers in that key special teams spot. Rookie Sami Niku presumably would fill in for Morrissey if the breakout performer needs more time to recover.

Morrissey (lower body) won't return to Tuesday's game against the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
This injury represents a big blow, as Morrissey's in the midst of a breakout season, having already racked up a career-high 29 points through 51 games, including an assist prior to departing this one. Winnipeg's next game comes Thursday in Montreal, so expect another update on Morrissey's status prior to that contest.

Morrisey scored an empty-net goal and added an assist in Sunday's 5-1 win over Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
Morrisey's empty-netter came with his team down a man. Prior to scoring it, the defenseman had gone nine games without a goal and has just five on the season. Despite his slow scoring pace, Morrisey remains an important piece to the team's power-play puzzle, leading Winnipeg with 2:20 of PP ice time on Sunday. He also recorded a team-high five shots on goal.

Morrissey finished with three points Sunday, including a pair of assists in a 7-1 win over Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Morrissey gave his team a 2-0 lead with a power-play goal late in the first period. It was just his third goal of the season and 16th of his career. Morrissey had missed his team's past two games with a lower-body injury, but his return undoubtedly made an impact on his team's offensive performance. He'll continue to see a ton of ice time on Winnipeg's top pairing and in his last three games has recorded a total of five points.

Morrissey (lower body) won't be in the lineup versus St. Louis on Friday, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morrissey will miss his second straight game due to his lower-body problem. The blueliner notched four points in his previous six contests prior to getting hurt. Once cleared to play, the Calgary native should get back to logging huge minutes for the Jets and could exceed his current season average 22:59 more often than not.

Morrissey (lower body) is a possibility to rejoin the lineup for Friday's matchup with St. Louis, Mike Sawatzky of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite missing practice Thursday, it appears Morrissey is still in contention to take the ice Friday. Prior to getting hurt, the Calgary native registered four points in his previous six outings. If he is healthy enough to play, Nelson Nogier would be likely be the odd man out -- though Cameron Schilling could also find himself bumped from the lineup if Dustin Byfuglien (concussion) returns as well.

Morrissey has been fined the maximum allowed under the CBA for his hit on T.J. Oshie but he hasn't been suspended for it.
EDGE Analysis
Morrissey has gotten off to a hot start in 2018-19, racking up eight points -- one goal and seven assists -- thanks, in part, to his consistent action on the power play. He won't have to put his season on pause because of the hit, but it's something the league will keep track of if he faces similar situations down the road.
