The Maple Leafs traded Bernier to the Ducks on Friday in exchange for a 2017 conditional draft pick, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has one year remaining on his contract at $4.15 million before he'll become an unrestricted free agent. He was simply awful for the Buds in 2015-16, having recorded a 12-21-3 record, 2.88 GAA and .908 save percentage. Toronto acquired Frederik Andersen from the Ducks in late June, and it's likely he'll pick up a ton of starts in the upcoming season now that Bernier has been shipped out west with a chance to revive his career. Since Bernier is vacating a rebuilding Leafs team to one established and high-powered offensively, this move could result in an uptick in the veteran's fantasy value, though he'll be hard pressed to wrestle the No. 1 job away from John Gibson.

Bernier will compete for starter's time in 2016-17 with new arrival Frederik Andersen.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson posted a 22-9-7 record with a 2.30 GAA and .919 save percentage in 43 games with the Ducks in 2015-16. Andersen also went 3-2 with a 1.41 GAA and .947 save percentage in five playoff starts in this past postseason. In short, Bernier is in tough to win starts, even with his $4.15 million contract.

Bernier stopped 41 of 44 shots he faced in a 4-3 win over the Flyers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier was under fire all night but managed to stand tall when it mattered, in overtime. The Flyers scored a late goal to force the extra frame, but Bernier shut the door after that. The Leafs have only one game left and it can be assumed that they will want to get one last look at Garrett Sparks heading into the offseason.

Bernier will protect the blue paint against Philadelphia on Thursday, Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has the unenviable task of being in goal with very little in terms of offensive help in front of him. While the 27-year-old's 11-21-3 record would indicate a down year, and he has made some mistake, he has also registered three shutouts with a .907 save percentage. In terms of fantasy value, any netminder playing in Toronto should probably be avoided given the lack of talent in their squad.

Bernier made 32 saves in Monday's 4-3 loss to Florida.
EDGE Analysis
He's been giving way to Garrett Sparks of late -- the team wants to see what the kid will do. The Isles seemed to toy with the Leafs, especially on the cycle, and that means Bernier's mates were exhausted by the big-bodied kitties. Bernier's value the last week of the season is weak at best. Next season might be better.

Bernier will defend the net Monday against the Panthers, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier was sharp in his last start, stopping 32 of the 34 shots that came his way en route to a 5-2 victory over the Panthers, his 11th win of the season. The 27-year-old will face the same opponent Monday, looking to add to his success versus Florida (2.05 GAA, .938 save percentage) and recently (two goals or less in last six games). Considering those factors, he shouldn't be ruled out for daily or season-long formats.

Bernier turned away 32 of 34 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win against Florida.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has actually been pretty good in March, sporting a 4-4-0 record to go along with a .934 save percentage (one shutout). To say the least, it's a vast improvement from the netminder, as he came into Tuesday's matchup with just 10 victories, a 2.87 GAA and .906 save percentage.

Bernier will start Tuesday's game against the Panthers, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though still the owner of an ugly record (10-20-3), Bernier has been far more effective recently, posting a .937 save percentage in March, including five straight games with a mark of .920 or better. Still, he'll have a tough time picking up his 11th win in Tuesday's difficult road matchup.

Bernier stopped 30 of 32 shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has been solid lately, allowing no more two goals in his last five starts. The Bruins just kept coming in this one and he wasn't able to shut the door. The loss drops Bernier's record to 10-20-3 on the year. With the Leafs having nothing the play for the rest of the way, he's not worth a look in fantasy leagues, unless you're desperate for a netminder.

Bernier will protect the crease against Boston on Saturday, Dhiren Mahiban of The Canadian Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has been on top of his game of late as he has registered a 1.63 GAA in his previous five starts, despite only grabbing three victories. In 34 attempts this season, the netminder has managed just 10 wins, although that could be more indicative of the skaters in front of him than his performances. The 27-year-old is likely to see plenty of pucks as Boston are averaging 32.5 shots per game.
