Bernier will man the blue paint for Sunday's contest in Detroit, Adrian Dater of BSNDenver.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Detroit sits in the bottom-half of the league in scoring at 2.90 goals per game, regardless of opponent, it's tough to justify using Bernier in a fantasy setting. In 2017-18, his first season as an Avalanche, Bernier is 2-4-0 with a 3.71 GAA and .887 save percentage. Not only are Bernier's season marks awful, but he's allowed four or more goals in four of the six games he's played this season.

Bernier stopped 36 of 40 shots during Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
The first-round pick of the Kings in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft stood tall despite being besieged by shots but has now allowed four or more goals in four of his last six starts. Behind a shaky Avalanche defense, he's a risky play most nights so use him sparingly.

Bernier will post up between the pipes for Saturday's day game against the "visiting" Senators in Sweden, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is the second and final game of the NHL's Global Series event between Ottawa and Colorado. The Senators' Erik Karlsson, who's unequivocally the best Swedish defenseman in the world, dished for two scores in the overtime win Friday. Bernier has done very little to earn the trust of fantasy owners, as he carries a 2-3-0 record, 3.63 GAA and .884 save percentage into this next contest, plus he's fresh off a six-goal shelling at the hands of the Islanders.

Bernier allowed six goals on 22 shots in Sunday's loss to the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has had a few great outings this season, but he's also had some miserable ones. The 29-year-old backup owns a lackluster .884 save percentage on the year and hasn't made the Avalanche feel comfortable giving starter Semyon Varlamov the night off. With a 2-3-0 record on the season, there are certainly better backups out there if you're looking to fill a goaltending position.

Bernier was named the starting goaltender for Sunday's contest against the Islanders, Adrian Dater of BSNDenver.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Sunday being the team's second game in as many games, Bernier returns to the net for the first time since Oct. 28 in order to provide rest for Semyon Varlamov. Bernier's statline is quite unremarkable, with a 2-2-0 record, 3.03 GAA, and .906 save percentage, though it's hard to place blame on the former Leaf. Regardless of who's been in goal, the Avs haven't allowed fewer than three goals in a game since Oct. 13 -- which was 10 games ago.

Bernier allowed three goals on 42 shots in a 6-3 victory against the Blackhawks on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The Avalanche spotted Bernier a 5-0 lead, but the Blackhawks did answer with the next two goals. Then Chicago threw the kitchen sink at Bernier in the third period, though he was mostly up to the task, stopping 20 of 21 shots in the final frame. While it's too bad he had to give up three goals, Bernier owners will take the win and strong save percentage night.

Bernier will guard the goal in Saturday's home game against the Blackhawks, Mike Chambers of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has been shaky this season, compiling a 1-2-0 record while registering a sub-par 3.04 GAA and .894 save percentage. He'll look to turn things around Saturday in a matchup with a slumping Blackhawks team that's lost four of its last five games.

Bernier gave up four goals on 28 shots in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier was perfect in the opening frame, but surrendered three goals in the second period and another in the third. While Semyon Varlamov's backup has won only one of his three starts in net, Colorado's decent start to the season suggests Bernier could at least have value as a streamer or DFS pick in the right matchups.

Bernier will defend the crease against the Blues on Thursday, Rick Sadowski of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has made two appearances for the Avs this year in which he has posted a 1-1-0 record with a .912 save percentage. In his 10 career matchups versus St. Louis, the netminder has earned just four wins, despite logging a decent .911 save percentage. A fifth victory could be hard to come by as Alexander Steen (hand) makes his season debut and should bolster the Blues' offense.

Bernier stopped 17 of 18 shots in a Friday victory against Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier didn't have to do a lot with the Avalanche getting eight power-play chances, but he mostly controlled the contest with his old team. It's a much better showing than his other appearance in 2017-18, and it gives him something to build on for the future.
