Bernier will tend the twine in Monday's matchup with Pittsburgh, Mike Chambers of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has struggled in his most recent appearances, as he registered a 0-2-1 record with a .859 save percentage. Through 11 outings, the netminder has posted his second worst GAA (3.24) behind only that of his limited four-game 2007-08 campaign. If his teammate can't stay out of the Sin Bin, it could be a long night for the Quebec native, as Pittsburgh is sporting a 26.95 power-play percentage -- second highest in the league.

Bernier was pulled after allowing four goals on just nine shots in a 7-2 loss to Dallas on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier was given the heave-ho 7:52 into the second period after Greg Pateryn fired home Dallas' fourth consecutive even-strength goal. After Sunday's implosion, the first-year Av now owns a 4-6-0 record to go with a 2.67 GAA and .914 save percentage -- numbers that are surprisingly better than Semyon Varlamov's 3.06 and .905 marks.

Bernier will tend the twine in Sunday's matchup against the Stars, Rick Sadowski of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier steps into the crease in place of Semyon Varlamov, who's been rested after having played in the 2-1 loss to New Jersey on Friday. While Bernier has struggled in 2017-18 -- going 4-5-1 with a 2.99 GAA and .901 save percentage -- Sunday could make for a favorable matchup, as the Stars went to a shootout in their win over Chicago just the day prior.

Bernier turned away 25 of 28 shots in Saturday's loss to the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier was outdueled by David Rittich, who picked up his first victory of the season. Starter Semyon Varlamov (illness) has missed the last four games, so Bernier has been forced to step up. The results have been mediocre, as Bernier looked great in his two most recent starts, but struggled Saturday and didn't look too hot against the Red Wings last weekend. With a lackluster .901 save percentage, there are certainly better options to fill the void while Varlamov remains out.

Bernier will start in goal Saturday night against the visiting Flames, Adrian Dater of BSN Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Avalanche will go with Bernier to complete the back-to-back set, despite the Canadian goalie being taken all the way through the shootout before succumbing to the Wild on Friday. He's been terrific lately, fashioning a pair of wins to supplement a 1.61 GAA and .937 save percentage in three games that Semyon Varlamov (illness) has been out of commission. Bernier will see a Calgary team that ranks 14th in goals per game and 11th on the power play.

Bernier allowed two goals on 27 shots in a 3-2 shootout loss against the Wild on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off a shutout of Dallas on Wednesday, Bernier has officially broken out of his slump even though he lost Friday night. In his last two games, Bernier has posted a .964 save percentage and stopped every shot at even strength but one. That snaps a five-game stretch where he recorded a .877 save percentage. It will be interesting to see if the Avalanche stick with Bernier in the second part of the back-to-back on Saturday against the Flames.

Bernier will tend the twine for Friday's tilt versus Minnesota, Adrian Dater of BSN Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier will be making his third straight appearance between the pipes as starter Semyon Varlamov (illness) continues to work his way back to 100 percent. In addition to the need to give Varlamov some extra recovery time, the recent performance of the 29-year-old Bernier -- two wins including a shutout -- probably instilled some confidence in the coaching staff to stick with him a bit longer.

Bernier stopped all 28 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season Wednesday against Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier had really been struggling entering Wednesday's game, so a shutout victory was just what he needed to get back on track. He's the backup to Semyon Varlamov, but this performance could earn him some more crease time in the near-future. While Bernier stole the show against Dallas, we need to see some more consistency from him before recommending him as a spot start.

Bernier will be between the pipes for Wednesday's clash with Dallas, Mike Chambers of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier will be making his eighth appearance of the season as starter Semyon Varlamov has been ruled out due to illness. In those seven prior outings, the 29-year-old Bernier has been subpar at best allowing fewer than three goals on just one occasion. It should be noted, however, that the netminder will be going up against a Stars squad that will be on the second half of a back-to-back.

Bernier made 21 saves on 24 shots in Sunday's win over the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier looked shaky in the game, but the Avalanche were able to get four goals by Jimmy Howard to earn the victory. The 29-year-old has really struggled in his last three starts, allowing 14 goals. Semyon Varlamov hasn't been much better, but Bernier's .886 save percentage and 3-4-0 record just isn't appealing from a fantasy perspective. Even when Bernier does get the occasional nod, he's done nothing this season to show he's worth starting in fantasy.
