Bernier will start in goal Thursday night against host St. Louis, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's a bit strange that Bernier will draw the next start for the Red Wings considering the team just bestowed a one-year, $4 million contract extension on No. 1 goalie Jimmy Howard. At any rate, he'll go to work against a Blues team that has won only four of the past 10 games but appears destined to earn a playoff spot.

Bernier stopped 41 of 42 shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the islanders.
EDGE Analysis
It's the second time this season the isles have fired more than 40 shots at Bernier in a game, but the veteran netminder came through with a better result this time and picked up his first win since Feb. 2. He's been alternating starts with Jimmy Howard in March, and Bernier now has a solid 2.51 GAA and .931 save percentage overt his last four outings.

Bernier led the Red Wings out to the ice for pregame warmups Saturday, Dana Wakiji of the Red Wings' official site reports. As a result, he'll be the home starter versus the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has maintained pitiful ratios (3.33 GAA and .899 save percentage) serving as the last line of defense for a Red Wings team with a blue line featuring a unique blend of green prospects and past-their-prime veterans. Suffice it to say, the Canadian netminder won't invite high ownership percentages in DFS, facing a playoff-bound Islanders team -- winners of two straight contests and six of the past 10 to complement a plus-33 goal differential on the season.

Bernier stopped 33 of 35 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old goaltender falls to 6-17-5 with a 3.33 GAA and .899 save percentage. Bernier has now lost 10 straight and has not recorded a win since Feb. 2. Stay far away from the Red Wings' netminder in all formats.

Bernier will start in goal Tuesday night against host Montreal, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier's playing time has been on the rise, as there's not much sense in the Red Wings taxing veteran Jimmy Howard -- who has had his share of minor injuries -- knowing this team is mathematically out of the playoff race. Still, Detroit's No. 2 netminder has lost nine straight games, making him an undesirable fantasy option down the stretch.

Bernier made 30 saves in a 3-2 loss to the Lightning on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
He's won twice since Dec. 8. That pretty much sums up his fantasy value. Gulp.

Bernier will start in goal Saturday against host Tampa Bay, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has lost eight straight games, and there's not much reason to believe that he'll snap the skid against the league's best team -- one that has defeated the Wings in each of their last 13 meetings. He's 6-15-5 with a 3.39 GAA and .896 save percentage through 29 games.

Bernier allowed four goals on 34 shots in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Avalanche on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old was less than two minutes away from beating the team he played for last season, but instead, he yielded a slap shot from the point with 1:35 left in regulation and then the game-winner in overtime. Bernier has now lost six straight and owns an .890 save percentage in his last eight appearances. He doesn't play regularly, but the 30-year-old has one win since Christmas. Bernier is 6-15-5 with a 3.39 GAA and an .896 save percentage in 29 games this season.

Bernier will defend the road net from the Avalanche on Tuesday, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll at least try to slow down an Avs team that boasts one of the most fearsome top-line trios in the league, with Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen alone having combined for 164 points on the season. Bernier is 6-15-4 with a 3.37 GAA and .897 save percentage through 23 starts and 28 total games; those numbers make him a desperation play in most fantasy setups on this 10-game slate.

Bernier allowed two goals on 12 shots after replacing Jimmy Howard in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
The Canadiens jumped out to a 5-0 lead and added a sixth goal before Detroit opted to change goalies, bringing Bernier in for Howard. By that point, the game was well in hand, but the loss will not count towards Bernier's record which will remain at 6-15-4 on the season.
