Gibson will start in goal on Wednesday for Team North America's showdown with Sweden, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As Matt Murray deals with a thumb injury, Gibson was given his first starting nod of the tournament with Connor Hellebuyck serving as the backup. Gibson is the certified starter in Anaheim this year after posting an outstanding 2.07 GAA last season and will look to expand on this success both at the World Cup and in the NHL regular season.

Gibson stopped all six shots he faced after relieving Matt Murray in net during North America's 4-3 loss to Russia at the World Cup of Hockey on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Murray gave up four goals in a 6:14 stretch, which prompted Gibson's entrance into the game. The Ducks netminder wasn't asked to do much, as North America carried play while making a comeback attempt for most of his 22:14 of action.

Gibson gave up three goals on 27 shots in Sunday's Game 2 loss to the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson has given up three goals in each playoff game so far, as the Ducks have fallen behind 2-0 in their series with the Predators. While he's been outplayed by Pekka Rinne, he's made some strong saves and is coming off a terrific regular season. Don't be surprised, however, if the Ducks turn to the more experienced Frederik Andersen for Game 3.

Gibson is slated to start Sunday's home game against the Preds, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson, who stopped 30 of 33 shots in Friday's Game 1 loss to the Predators, will look to help the Ducks even their playoff series against Nashville on Sunday, with Pekka Rinne presumably in line to take the net opposite Gibson in the contest.

Gibson stopped 30 of 33 shots in Friday's Game 1 loss to the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson played well in the loss, but he did get victimized on a bad goal late in the third period. The 22-year-old posted a .920 save percentage in the regular season and received the Game 1 start over Frederik Andersen. The Duck should continue to ride Gibson, but if he picks up another loss or turns in a poor outing, Andersen could take over.

Gibson will be in the crease to begin Anaheim's first-round series with Nashville on Friday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
There was some debate as to whether Gibson or Frederik Andersen would be the Ducks' goaltender once the postseason opened, but now it seems as though Gibson will be coach Bruce Boudreau's choice for at least the time being. Gibson finished the regular season with good numbers (2.07 GAA, .920 save percentage), while his team holds a clear edge over Nashville. At the end of the day, Gibson will likely only need to make the saves he should make to put the Ducks in a position to win.

Gibson finished the 2015-16 season with a GAA of 2.07, a .920 save percentage, and 21-13-4 record.
EDGE Analysis
While he didn't find his way into the net until Nov. 24, Gibson certainly started turning heads almost immediately. The 22-year-old netminder was solid all season long while the Ducks fought their way back into the playoff picture after a shaky start to the season. He never lost more than two straight games in regulation for the entirety of the season, really showcasing his high level of play this year. Even though it is likely that Frederik Andersen will be starting off their series against the Predators, expect Gibson to get plenty of chances to show his worth throughout the playoffs.

Gibson (lower body) is said to be fine, despite getting sent home after having been "run into a few times" while playing the Avalanche on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Both Gibson and Frederik Andersen dealt with injuries at the tail end of the regular season, but it appears that both tenders will be available starting with Friday's Game 1 quarterfinal match against the Predators. Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau hasn't named his starting goalie for the opening contest, but it's worth noting that Gibson didn't see the Preds at all in 40 regular-season games for which he produced a 2.07 GAA and .920 save percentage.

Gibson was sent back to Anaheim on Sunday suffering from a lower-body injury, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson has started the team's last eight games, but that streak will come to an end Sunday with either Frederik Andersen or Anton Khudobin set to start in the blue paint. There's no indication the injury puts him in any danger of missing postseason action, but the team should update his status again as Game 1 approaches.

Gibson made 29 saves in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson is 2-2-1 in five starts in April. He's the Ducks' go-to guy as the team pushes toward the postseason and should be the team's starter in Game 1.
