Garrison was not present at Saturday's morning skate, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Evidently, the defender is ailing after taking a shot off his knee in Thursday's game against the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
The Bolts play host to the Capitals on Saturday, and we highly doubt that Garrison will be suiting up for that contest given his no-show at morning skate. As extra insurance, the club has recalled fringe blueliner Luke Witkowski from AHL Syracuse.

Garrison scored a second-period goal with four shots on net, two blocked shots and two hits over 19:16 of playing time during Friday's loss to Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
It was a solid cross-category showing for the veteran defenseman, but they've been few and far between to start 2016-17. At this point, Garrison is nothing more than a low-end defenseman in the deepest seasonal leagues and a desperation flier in daily contests.

Garrison has two assists in five games this season. He had 11 points, including six assists, in 72 games in 2015-16.
EDGE Analysis
Garrison caught lightning in a bottle in Florida when he delivered 16 goals in 2011-12. Since then, he has 24 goals in four full seasons. Garrison's best days are behind him; he's rolling as a sturdy crease clearer and his fantasy value is sorely limited.

Garrison provided the game-winner in overtime Friday as Tampa beat the Islanders 2-1 in Game 4.
EDGE Analysis
The big British Columbia native unleashed a one-timer from the point 1:34 into overtime, beating Thomas Greiss to give the Bolts a commanding 3-1 series lead. Garrison has been a totally different player in nine games this postseason with five points, 22 shots on goal and 12 PIM -- a stark contrast to the 11 points, 99 SOG and 18 PIM he put up in 72 regular-season contests. With the way the veteran has been producing, as well as his role on the power play (2:35 on Friday), he could make for a sneaky value play in daily formats going forward.

Garrison worked the power play in Tuesday's practice, reports Tampa Bay Times.
EDGE Analysis
Garrison has a big shot and the Bolts' power play has been horrible this season, converting just 15.8 percent of its opportunities. That's third-worst in the NHL. Garrison could bring a much needed punch to the man advantage, but it may not be enough to help carry the injury-riddled lineup to the second round.

Garrison scored his fifth goal of the season and had two assists in Friday's win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
It was a rare offensive outing for Garrison, who has just 10 points on the season. The Lightning exploded for a season-high seven goals Friday and Garrison was right in the middle of it, but the blueliner's three points in the victory were just his first points in 19 games. For a defenseman logging decent minutes, that's a long time to go without getting on the scoresheet. Don't expect much, especially considering he no longer plays on the power play.

Garrison (lower body) returned off injured reserve in Monday's win over the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
Garrison ended up missing three weeks after sustaining the lower-body ailment, skating 15:54 worth of ice time in the victory. He'll help provide some depth on the blue line for the Bolts, but his seven points on the season leave a bit to be desired from a fantasy perspective.

Coach Jon Cooper said Wednesday that he's "cautiously optimistic" Garrison (lower body) will be able to return on the team's four-game road trip, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cooper indicated it would be "huge" to get back the defenseman, but his fantasy purposes leave much to be desired. In past seasons, Garrison was a member of the power play, and finished with 30 points last season (11 on power play). The 31-year-old has just seven points (four goals, no power play points) over 52 contests in 2015-16, likely due to his removal from the units. While he'll be a consistent presence in the lineup, there's no indication he'll be added to the power play upon return, leaving Garrison's upside rather limited.

Garrison skated with the team Tuesday for the first time since sustaining a lower-body injury two weeks ago, Bryan Burns of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Garrison estimated that he still remains over a week away, which would fall in line with the 3-to-5 week timetable he was initially given, though he does appear to be progressing well. Matt Taormina was recalled to the parent club earlier in the week and figures to slot in on the blueline in Garrison's absence.

Garrison (lower body) was placed on injured reserve and will miss a minimum of three weeks, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Garrison's absence may make a significant impact on the Lightning blue line, but is unlikely to affect fantasy rosters as he's registered a paltry seven points in 52 contests. Additionally, the defenseman has rarely seen action on the power-play, which further lowers his value. Tampa will call-up the untested Slater Koekkoek to fill the veteran's spot on the depth chart.
