All signs point to Jaromir Jagr returning from a groin injury on Dec. 8. Jagr seems to be ahead of schedule from an original prognosis of 7-10 days from the Winter Classic. There's always the chance that he could opt against playing at the last minute, but from the looks of warm-ups, you should be safe to put him in your lineup Sunday.

Jaromir Jagr (groin) isn't expected to play on Saturday, but he's "hopeful" about his chances of returning Sunday. Jagr sustained the ailment during the Winter Classic. If he is able to play on Sunday, he will have returned before the initial seven-to-10 day estimate. Jagr has been one of the Flyers best players this season with 12 goals and 31 points in 33 games.

Jaromir Jagr will miss the next seven-ten days with a groin injury. Jagr has a mild left groin strain that allowed him to only play two shifts after the first period of Monday's Winter Classic. James van Riemsdyk and Maxime Talbot saw action on the wing with Claude Giroux and Scott Harntell and are the leading candidates to replace him for now although we think that van Riemsdyk is the better choice. Stay tuned.

Jaromir Jagr sustained a leg injury during the 2012 Winter Classic. The severity of the injury is not yet known, but it was serious enough to prevent Jagr from playing for most of the final two periods. Jagr finished the game with no points and one shot on goal in 7:09 minutes.

Jaromiar Jagr appears to be one of the few players not especially looking forward to Monday's outdoor game. Jagr acknowledges that the event is great for fans and brings exposure to the league, but he's not particularly excited to participate in the game itself. "I don't think the game is going to be that good," he said. "The ice isn't going to be that good. . . . But it's kind of special because of the fans. That's what's special, no question about it." Even if he doesn't fare too well in the game, Jagr has been a fantastic pickup for fantasy owners this season and has shown that he can be productive despite his advanced age.

Former Penguins, Jaromir Jagr and Maxime Talbot scored for Philadelphia in their respective returns to Pittsburgh on Thursday. It was an emotional game for both players and they made their presences felt on the scoresheet. Jagr scored a pretty goal for his 12th of the year, while Talbot scored into an empty net to seal the win. Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek, and Sean Couturier contributed two assists apiece in the contest.

Jaromir Jagr is expecting a hear a cascade of boos from the crowd when he makes his return to Pittsburgh on Thursday night. "Everybody knows how I'm going to be received," he said after practice Wednesday. When it looked it Jagr would agree to terms with the Penguins this past summer in his comeback to the NHL, he shocked the fans and much of the hockey world by signing with their bitter rivals in Philadelphia. The 39-year-old veteran has exceeded expectations with the Flyers in 2011-12 with 11 goals and 30 points in 31 games.

Jaromir Jagr will play in Madison Square Garden on Friday for the first time since May 1, 2008. Jagr wasn't able to play when the Rangers hosted the Flyers on November 26th because of a groin injury. Jagr spent three-and-a-half seasons with the Rangers before leaving for the KHL at the end of the 2007-08 campaign. "I can not say one bad thing about the Rangers," Jagr said. "They were good to me, the city, the organization, everybody." Despite his age and years of playing in the KHL, Jagr has been playing like he never left the NHL. He has 11 goals and 29 points in 29 games this season.

Jaromir Jagr generated a goal and an assist in Philadelphia's 4-1 win over Dallas on Wednesday night. The goal was the 657th of his Hall of Fame career and it gave him sole possession of 11th place on the NHL's all-time list. Jagr was pleased to have center Claude Giroux back sooner than expected from a concussion and as long as he can stay healthy, 70 points is real possibility for the veteran all-star.
