James Reimer is boasting an impressive record of 16-5-5 in this 48-game shortened season.
Reimer has played well in 2013 and has also been a nice fantasy surprise. "He's been doing it for us all year," said Tyler Bozak. With a .922 save percentage to go along with his stellar record, Reimer ranks eighth among goaltenders in that scoring category. He's a must-start down the stretch.

James Reimer kicked aside 31 of 34 shots in Toronto's 4-3 win over the Rangers on Monday night.
A huge win for the Leafs in the first of a pivotal home-and-home series. Toronto, fifth in the East, now sits six points ahead of New York, which is in seventh. Reimer was pretty busy in this one, but he generally stayed very composed, making a number of big stops.

James Reimer blocked 27 shots in the Maple Leafs' 2-1 triumph over the Devils on Saturday night.
Toronto's goaltending could ultimately be its undoing this year, whether that's in the regular season or the playoffs, but Reimer has showed in flashes that he's more than capable of being a top netminder and the Leafs have been able to deal with the ups and downs. As a 2.60 goals-against average and .917 save percentage reveal, the key is consistency.

James Reimer allowed four goals on 30 shots Thursday as the Maple Leafs couldn't hold off the surging Flyers in a 5-3 home loss.
Reimer has played as well as the Maple Leafs could have imagined on the season so there should be no need to panic after one bad outing. Given how well the Flyers have played of late, there should be nothing to worry about with Reimer long-term.

Toronto GM Dave Nonis is confident with the goaltenders he has despite his interest in acquiring a veteran at the trade deadline.
"We always said if we could get some veteran presence to help these guys along and give them experience and tips it would have been an ideal situation," said Nonis. "We're happy with the goaltending. We weren't trying to move one out. It was our desire to add to that group. These two have earned the right to play. If you look at what (Reimer) has done this year, he has played very, very well." Reimer and backup Ben Scrivens have played well this season, so Nonis didn't have to make a move there and he didn't.

James Reimer isn't worried about what the Leafs do or don't do prior to the trade deadline.
According to reports, the Leafs have been talking about adding some experience between the pipes with Roberto Luongo and Miikka Kiprusoff at the top of the list. "You know, with the last couple of games (before deadline day), that you only have a few more chances to show what you can do and that's how I approached it. Right now, there's literally nothing I can do about it," said Reimer, who has surpassed Ben Scrivens as the team's number one goalie. "I could sit here and be worried and have anxiety and be stressing about it. But there's nothing I can do so I'm not going to worry about it. They're going to make the decision that they feel is right and we're going to roll with it."
