James Reimer made 26 saves for the Leafs at they fell 3-2 in the shootout against the Rangers on Wednesday night. Both Rangers goals were scored in the second half of a second period that they dominated, getting 10 shots on goal. Even with the loss, Reimer has helped his team earn at least a point in 10 of his last 11 outings. He has a 2.52 goals-against average and .919 save percentage on the year.

Toronto GM Dave Nonis is confident with the goaltenders he has despite his interest in acquiring a veteran at the trade deadline. "We always said if we could get some veteran presence to help these guys along and give them experience and tips it would have been an ideal situation," said Nonis. "We're happy with the goaltending. We weren't trying to move one out. It was our desire to add to that group. These two have earned the right to play. If you look at what (Reimer) has done this year, he has played very, very well." Reimer and backup Ben Scrivens have played well this season, so Nonis didn't have to make a move there and he didn't.

James Reimer isn't worried about what the Leafs do or don't do prior to the trade deadline. According to reports, the Leafs have been talking about adding some experience between the pipes with Roberto Luongo and Miikka Kiprusoff at the top of the list. "You know, with the last couple of games (before deadline day), that you only have a few more chances to show what you can do and that's how I approached it. Right now, there's literally nothing I can do about it," said Reimer, who has surpassed Ben Scrivens as the team's number one goalie. "I could sit here and be worried and have anxiety and be stressing about it. But there's nothing I can do so I'm not going to worry about it. They're going to make the decision that they feel is right and we're going to roll with it."
