Reimer ended up making the start against the Predators on Friday due to Roberto Luongo sustaining an upper-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
Luongo reportedly is available as the backup, meaning the injury must not be overly serious. Reimer has gone 5-5-3 with a 2.60 and .915 save mark in 15 games as the No. 2 backstop in Florida this season.

Reimer allowed one goal on 36 shots in a 3-1 victory over the Stars on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old has served admirably as Florida's backup netminder in 2016-17. He is 2-1-1 in his last three starts and posted a .941 save percentage in December. The only score he yielded Saturday was to the Stars power play.

Reimer will guard the cage in Saturday's road game against the Stars, NHL.com's Sean Shapiro reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer has been sharp in the month of December, posting a 1-1-2 record while maintaining an admirable 2.11 GAA and .933 save percentage over five appearances. The 28-year-old goaltender will look to pick up his fifth win of the campaign in a tough road matchup with a hot Stars team that has won four of its last five games.

Reimer allowed three goals on 41 shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer lost the battle of the backups to Al Montoya. He was clinging to a 2-1 lead with under three minutes to play, but allowed Brendan Gallagher to tie it with 2:37 left before giving up the game-winner to Phillip Danault just 39 seconds into overtime. Roberto Luongo's backup has won only once since Nov. 20.

Reimer will get the starting nod against Montreal on Thursday, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer has performed well of late as he has recorded a .956 save percentage in his last three appearances, including one in relief. It will be a backup battle in Florida as the 28-year-old goes up against former Panthers No. 2 Al Montoya.

Reimer allowed only two goals on 32 shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer was razor sharp for the second straight start, which is intriguing with Roberto Luongo recently inconsistent and a bit banged up as well. It's been an iffy year for the 28-year-old netminder on the whole, though, so he's not likely to carve out what most leagues would consider a fantasy-relevant start total unless Luongo suffers a lingering injury.

Reimer will backstop the Panthers for their matchup with Boston on Thursday, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
This will mark just the third start for Reimer since interim head coach Tom Rowe took over the bench boss role. The new regime has been much more dependant on starter Roberto Luongo. The Bruins are averaging a meager 27.2 shots per game, which should give the 28-year-old Reimer a chance to ease back into game form.

Reimer saved 30 of 31 shots during Friday's win over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
It was the first time Reimer has allowed fewer than two goals in a start this year, and the 28-year-old goalie now has a disappointing 4-4-2 record with a .904 save percentage and a 2.77 GAA. The Panthers are struggling to string together wins and provide offensive support (2.34 goals per game), and Reimer is clearly behind Roberto Luongo in the pecking order. It all adds up to an unfavorable fantasy situation for Reimer, and there aren't many matchups where he can be started confidently.

Reimer will mind the net for Friday's game in Colorado, Doug Plagens of the Panthers Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer will see the game from the goal Friday after seeing it from the bench for the first half of Florida's back-to-back on Thursday night. The 28-year-old backstop has very much embodied the role of the team's backup this season, as he's allowed at least three goals in seven of his nine starts. He'll have a decent chance to turn it around though, as the Avalanche rank 27th in the league with 2.25 goals per game.

Reimer stopped 22 of 25 shots against Philadelphia on Tuesday, giving up the game-winner to Jakub Voracek stick with just nine seconds left in overtime.
EDGE Analysis
A goal late in the third by Jussi Jokinen got the Panthers to OT, but it also led to a worsened stat line for Reimer. He hasn't been very good in his first 10 appearances as a Panther, so Roberto Luongo remains in good position to continue accounting for the vast majority of the starts in net.
