However, he's faced 28 or more shots in seven of those outings, and a matchup against the Coyotes' troubled offense should bump up Reimer's value. Although the Panthers are on a three-game losing streak, this looks like a good chance to steal a win and Reimer's price is low enough in daily leagues to make for a solid value stream.

Considering the Panthers have managed just two wins since the start of December, Reimer likely doesn't make for an adequate fantasy start right now.

With Vegas scoring the third most goals per game in the NHL (3.39) and Florida averaging the second most shots allowed (35.1), the 29-year-old will have his hands full in the desert.

Reimer's next draw comes against an Avalanche team that could be pesky as the ninth-ranked offense in the league.

This was a brilliant effort from Reimer, who helped the Panthers kill off all three penalties. In fact, he hadn't played this well since an Oct. 28 home contest against the Wings, when he lost in overtime despite posting a .947 save percentage that evening. Given that Roberto Luongo (lower body) has had trouble staying healthy this season, Reimer's benefited from an uptick in playing time and should be of service to fantasy owners desperate for depth at the goaltender position -- just don't expect miracles.
