James Reimer is reportedly getting better from his unspecified injury and should be back on the ice soon.
His agent, Ray Petkau told TSN that the Toronto netminder has dealt with headaches, but says they were irregular and that he hasn't been diagnosed with a concussion. "His baseline test was great, James passed it with flying colors," Petkau said. "We are 100 per cent confident the Leafs are handling this situation well and that includes James, his family and all involved." We'll keep you posted.

Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Ron Wilson admitted that he has "no idea" when goalie James Reimer will return from his injury.
It was already mentioned that Reimer "reached a plateau" in his recovery from what some believe is a neck injury. Apparently you can keep him marked as "out indefinitely," which is a big shame because the young goalie was looking really strong in what was supposed to be his first full season as the top guy. Stay tuned for more updates. The Maple Leafs are really starting to miss them, as Jonas Gustavsson and Ben Scrivens were lit up in the last two games.

James Reimer (neck) didn't participate in Monday's practice.
Reimer recently "reached a plateau" in his recovery, which means that he's no longer practicing. Leafs coach Ron Wilson said on Monday that "nothing has changed" regarding Reimer. He hasn't played since October 22nd and there's currently no known timetable for his return.

James Reimer, who is suffering from "whiplash-like symptoms," has apparently "reached a plateau" in his recovery.
Although that might sound like good news, we're not entirely sure. What it means is that Reimer will rest for now rather than practice or return to the Leafs lineup. That sounds a lot like a setback to us, but we'll continue to monitor the situation.

James Reimer (neck) will not return to Toronto's lineup on Thursday.
He skated with some teammates at an optional skate on Thursday morning and needs to get his conditioning back up before he can play again. The Leafs will see how he does at practice on Friday before deciding if he is ready to start Saturday against Boston.

James Reimer did not dress on Wednesday night, but there's a chance he will play on Thursday in Columbus.
The Toronto netminder has been practicing with the team, while recovering from "whiplash-like" symptoms. Stay tuned for updates, as coach Ron Wilson said he feels comfortable with going back to Jonas Gustavsson for another start as well if Reimer isn't ready.

Leafs GM Brian Burke said that James Reimer doesn't have a concussion, but he is being treated for "concussion-like symptoms."
"There's a rating system they use and he rated very low in all areas as to if it is a concussion or not. We're not sure if it's whiplash related," Burke said. "It's not (a concussion) and if it were, we'd say that. It's not like we're trying to be evasive here. We are evasive when we need to be; when we don't want a player to get targeted. To this point the doctors have not told me one time it's a concussion." We take this to mean that things are not as bad as they could be, but it remains to be seen how long Reimer will be out. We'll keep a close eye on this situation.

James Reimer is being listed as day-to-day with "whiplash-like" symptoms by Toronto.
Leafs goaltending coach Francois Allaire told TSN Radio 1050: "Right now the doctors feel he needs more time, so what can we do? We have to go with the doctors and the doctors decide; they are the last line to take the decision. That's what it is. The decision for him is to rest today and see how the thing will progress in the next 24 hours." Toronto is denying word that Reimer suffered a concussion and he hasn't been diagnosed with one by the team's doctors, but he is being treated as such so the Leafs will err on the side of caution for now. Stay tuned for updates.

James Reimer's (neck) should be considered doubtful for Thursday's game.
Although the Leafs haven't given an update on Reimer's status yet, the fact that they've called up third-string goaltender Ben Scrivens is telling. We'll let you know if Reimer's status changes.

James Reimer (neck) is slated to return to Toronto's lineup on Thursday night versus the New York Rangers.
"We're pretty close," said Reimer after Wednesday's practice. "Felt pretty good on the ice, a little rusty right off the bat - it's been a couple days - but I feel pretty good." He didn't dress on Monday after twisting his neck in Saturday's contest. Reimer will probably start for the Leafs against the Rangers, but we'll keep you posted.
