James Reimer is "almost 100%," according to Maple Leafs coach Ron Wilson.
Reimer won't play in Monday's game, but he might start in Thursday's contest against the New York Rangers. Reimer is 4-0-1 with a 2.58 GAA and .912 save percentage in six starts this season.

James Reimer will miss at least Monday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers with what's being called a minor neck injury.
That means the Toronto Maple Leafs will probably give Jonas Gustavsson the start, which isn't great news since he wasn't the good kind of "Monster" on Saturday. When asked about the duration of the injury, Reimer said "I'd be shocked if it was anything more than a couple days." Ben Scrivens could end up being Gustavsson's backup, but he's almost certainly unworthy of a waiver wire pickup at this time.

James Reimer was not on the ice for Sunday's practice.
Jonas Gustavsson was the lone goaltender at practice Sunday for the Leafs. Head coach Ron Wilson wasn't sure Reimer would be available for Monday's game in Philadelphia.

There was no word on the extent of Reimer's injury other than whiplash. For now consider him day-to-day.

James Reimer will make his fifth straight start on Wednesday night when the Winnipeg Jets play in Toronto for the first time in 15 years.
It's only fitting that the Manitoba native get to play in that contest. Reimer owns a 3-0-1 record with a .917 save percentage and a 2.49 goals-against average this season.

James Reimer allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Toronto's 3-2 overtime loss to Colorado Monday night.
Toronto started 4-0 in 2010-11 but missed the playoffs for the sixth straight year. This time around, the Leafs are 3-0-1 after the overtime loss tonight. Even with the loss tonight, Reimer's demeanor suggests that he is mentally prepared to take on the challenge this year in hockey crazy Toronto.

James Reimer managed a 6-5 win over the Ottawa Senators despite allowing five goals on 32 shots.
Reimer hadn't allowed a goal in his first five periods this season, but was shelled in the third period with five goals. While he wasn't sharp in the third period, the team in front of him tried coasting their 4-0 lead and it almost cost them. Reimer is off until October 15th against the Calgary Flames, and with so much time off, he should shoulder a big load in October and still be fresh.

James Reimer was perfect tonight in a 2-0 shutout win over the Montreal Canadiens in the season opener Thursday night.
It's going to be really hard for Reimer to prove that what he did last season wasn't a fluke but tonight was a great start for the young Leafs netminder, who stopped 32 shots in the win. Reimer is going to get the starting job for the first few games in the very least and his demeanor suggests that he is mentally prepared to take on the challenge. Optimus Reim is definitely worth a late round flier with the potential to be a decent number two fantasy goalie.

James Reimer feels prepared to handle the pressures of being a number one goalie this season in Toronto.
"I think so," said Reimer. "It's just stopping the puck. Just having fun. I love to play the game. I love to practice. I'm sure there's more pressure. The puck's the same size. I don't think it shrunk. Just do the same things I did last year and hopefully it goes well." He lost 20 pounds over the summer and showed up to camp in good shape. Reimer wasn't dazzling in the preseason, but he'll look to recapture last year's strong form in Thursday's opener against Montreal.
