Jakub Voracek registered two assists on Monday. Voracek has recorded at least a point in eight straight games. His slow start is firmly behind him, but the damage of it is still reflected in the fact that he has just 25 points in 37 matches.

A back injury suffered in the pre-season was likely the reason for the slow start of Jakub Voracek. Voracek started the season with only five points in his first 16 games but he has 17 points in his last 19 games. He really has come on since coach Craig Berube switched up the lines on December 12, moving Michael Raffl to the line alongside Voracek and Claude Giroux, while demoting Scott Hartnell down the depth chart. He has four goals and nine points in five games since the switch. He should be picked up in all pools at this time.

Jakub Voracek will play in Columbus for the first time since he was traded during the 2011 off-season. Voracek was drafted seventh overall in 2007 and sent to the Flyers as part of the Jeff Carter trade. "I'm not going to lie," Voracek said. "As soon as the schedule came out, I wanted to see when we went to Columbus. I got traded 2« years ago and haven't played there since. It's going to be exciting for me and Mase (goaltender Steve Mason). Ask me tomorrow after the morning skate how I feel. Maybe it's just deja vu. I had three great years there. We had a good group of guys there. When I got traded, I moved on. I'm the kind of guy that everything happens for a reason. I'm here with a bunch of great guys and really enjoying it now." Voracek has nine goals and 22 points in 35 games this season after a breakout 2012-13 campaign in which he had 22 goals and 46 points in 48 games.

Jakub Voracek had two assists in Philadelphia's 2-1 victory on Thursday. Voracek is on a three-game point streak. That's nothing special, but it's still noteworthy given the rough start he's had. He might have hit rock bottom for the 2013-14 campaign with his recent seven-contest point drought.
