Chychrun will undergo surgery to repair a knee injury, but is expected to be healthy for next season's training camp, Craig Morgan of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The second-year blueliner also missed significant time at the beginning of 2017-18 with a knee injury, though this current problem is unrelated. While Chychrun's production on a per-game basis remained about the same when comparing this season to last, he became a positive plus-minus player and received additional responsibility from head coach Rick Tocchet. After averaging 16:40 and 0:31 of time on ice for the game and power play, respectively, during the last campaign, those figures jumped to 20:15 and 2:02 in his sophomore season. At just 20 years of age, Chychrun has the potential to become an upper-tier defenseman in the NHL.

Chychrun (lower body) will miss the final two games of 2017-18.
EDGE Analysis
Chychrun suffered a lower-body injury during Tuesday's game against the Flames and, although the severity of the issue hasn't been released, the blueliner needs more time to heal up than what remains in the season. Dakota Mermis was promoted from the minor league ranks Wednesday and will presumably draw into the remaining contests for Arizona. Chychrun finishes the campaign with 14 points -- four goals and 10 assists -- over 50 games and figures to resume his consistent role among the defensive ranks next season.

Chychrun (lower body) won't return to Tuesday's game against the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Chychrun endured this injury when he took Michael Frolik's knee collided with the back of his leg. It was a scary moment, but Chychrun was able to skate off under his own power before going directly to the dressing room. If Chychrun is unable to go Thursday against Vancouver, expect Freddie Hamilton to slot into his place.

Chychrun scored a power-play goal and recorded three shots during Thursday's 5-3 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
The second-year blueliner missed a chunk of time with a knee injury to begin the season and has been limited to just 33 games. While Chychrun has still flashed nice offensive upside with nine goals and 22 assists through the first 101 games of his career, those numbers don't land him on the fantasy radar in most seasonal settings.

Chychrun (illness) is expected to return to the lineup for Saturday's game against the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
The Coyotes will be happy to have Chychrun back in their lineup Saturday, as he's been one of Arizona's lone bright spots this season, notching one goal and eight points while firing 43 shots on net in 17 contests. The rookie blueliner has also averaged a whopping 22:18 of ice time over that span. He'll return to his role skating on the Coyotes' second pairing and first power-play unit against St. Louis.

Chychrun (illness) won't suit up for Thursday's game against Nashville, Dave Vest of the Coyotes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 19-year-old has been a solid contributor since joining the team in early December, registering eight points in 17 games. Chychrun was a late absence for Thursday, so he should be available for Saturday's tilt in St. Louis.

Chychrun dished out an assist while finishing with team-highs in ice time (25:05) and shots (seven) during Thursday's 7-4 loss to Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Chychrun played a fantastic game, but few of his teammates can say the same. The 19-year-old Boca Raton native is quietly turning into an offensive force from the blue line, as he now has three helpers in his past four games to go with 12 shots on goal over that stretch. Watching him develop can serve as a silver lining for Arizona fans in what has been yet another disastrous campaign for the team.

Chychrun generated his first assist of the 2017-18 season in Sunday's 3-1 road loss to the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Since the second-year blueliner is only four games removed from his return following knee surgery, we're not necessarily expecting a ton of points from him right out of the gate. However, he logged 22:22 of ice time in this latest contest, which is a good amount of rink run considering Chychrun's endured a lengthy rehab. The 19-year-old, whom the Coyotes drafted with the 16th overall pick in last year's draft, is certainly worth keeping an eye on as he rounds into form.

Chychrun scored a goal and finished with a plus-1 rating in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to Vegas.
EDGE Analysis
Sunday also marked Chychrun's first game of the campaign after spending an extended period on injured reserve with a knee injury. Chychrun's goal certainly bodes well for his season moving forward, but the fact that the Florida native played 22:40 -- the second-most ice time he's ever received -- seems to indicate that he'll be shouldering significantly more responsibility in 2017-18.

Chychrun will play in Sunday's game against Vegas.
EDGE Analysis
Chychrun has fully recovered from his offseason knee surgery and after completing a conditioning assignment with AHL Tuscon, head coach Rich Tocchet has cleared him to participate in his first game of 2017-18. The 19-year-old is one of the top defensive prospects in the NHL and plays with excellent poise and composure, but it might take a couple games before he receives his usual workload and a power-play role.
