Allen gave up five goals on 38 shots in Thursday's loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
It was just the first loss of the season for Allen, who had made at least 40 saves in each of his previous two outings. The 27-year-old has faced a heavy slate of shots in the early goings and appears destined for a very busy season. Allen started 60 games in 2016-17 and is the clear-cut starter on a talented Blues team, so make sure he's in your lineup whenever he gets the nod.

Allen will be between the pipes Thursday when the Blues square off against the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Allen started all three of St. Louis's opening games of the year -- recording victories in each -- before watching from the bench on Tuesday. With the added rest, the netminder will look to extend his winning streak against a Florida squad that is leading the league in shots per game (42.0).

Allen came up big in Monday's shootout win over the Islanders, making 40 saves.
EDGE Analysis
Making Allen's day more impressive was the fact that 11 of his saves came on New York's six power plays. He's off to a great start this season and looks like a solid No. 1 fantasy option at goaltender going forward.

Allen will be in the crease for Monday's afternoon tilt against the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old netminder has begun the new campaign with two wins, a 2.98 GAA, and .918 save percentage from his first two games, and will be looking to continue his winning ways Monday. Two games into the season, his opponents are averaging three goals per game, with captain John Tavares leading the way with two goals and an assist. If the Blues and Allen are to leave Long Island happy, they'll have to contain Tavares, who drives New York's offense.

Allen allowed two goals, making 38 saves, in a 4-2 victory against the Stars on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old has picked up right where he left off last regular season, winning his first two games of 2017-18. In his final 23 games of 2016-17, he posted a 15-6-2 record with a .939 save percentage. Allen owns a .918 save percentage through his first two starts this season.

Allen will start in goal Saturday night at home versus the Stars, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Blues' 2008 second-round (34th overall) pick was challenged a great deal by the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions in Pittsburgh for Opening Night on Wednesday, as he allowed four goals on 33 shots, but still wiggled away with the victory. Now, he'll face a Stars team that lost 2-1 to the expansion Golden Knights on Friday night; Dallas could be fired up after dropping that one.

Allen made 29 saves on 33 shots as the Blues held off Pittsburgh for a 5-4 overtime win.
EDGE Analysis
Allen had no chance on Pittsburgh's two third-period goals, as he was screened out of the play both times. Even without that caveat, his performance on opening night against the two-time Stanley Cup champion was credible. He should be a solid fantasy netminder moving forward.

Allen will tend the twine versus Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Allen will be the first netminder to get a crack a dethroning the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions. The 27-year-old gave up a trio of pucks in his lone matchup with Pittsburgh last season and will likely face a similarly potent offense this time as well.

Allen will start Tuesday's preseason contest against Columbus, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The report indicates that Allen will only play the first-two periods of the game before making way for Ville Husso. Allen had a brutal start to 2016-17, posting a 2.85 GAA and .897 save percentage in 34 games, but really came on down the stretch, recording a 1.93 GAA and .935 save percentage in 38 games, including the postseason. Allen will be hoping to maintain this form heading into 2017-18, and Wednesday will be a good indicator as to where his game is.

Allen allowed two goals on 17 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Predators in Game 6 of the second round on Sunday. Nashville won the series 4-2.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old had about zero margin for error if the Blues were going to erase a 3-1 series deficit, and he just wasn't good enough Sunday. He finishes the postseason with a .935 save percentage and 1.96 GAA, but against Nashville in the second round, he posted just a .909 save percentage. Still, Allen should be ready to be a top tiered fantasy goaltender next season. After the coaching change on Feb. 1, Allen recorded a .937 save percentage in 36 games including the postseason.
