Markstrom stopped 26 of 28 shots in Sunday's win over the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
Another strong outing from Markstrom, who has played well when called upon of late. He sees his fair share of starts behind Ryan Miller and has done his part, posting a 10-10-3 record with a .914 save percentage. The 27-year-old is a good goaltender, but the team's recent struggles and his inconsistent workload make him a lackluster fantasy option. Markstrom is good enough to be of value in deeper leagues, but it's hard to rely on a guy who only sees the ice every so often on a mediocre team.

Markstrom will defend the net Sunday against the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Willi Desjardins suggested before the weekend series that Markstrom and Ryan Miller would split the weekend set, so it isn't surprising he'll receive the call Sunday after Miller started and allowed four goals in Saturday's game. While Markstrom should be considered a backup to his veteran teammate, he does see more consistent playing time in the crease than a lot of backups. He receives a decent matchup Sunday against the Sabres, but Vancouver's lack of offensive support makes it a challenge each time out.

Markstrom is expected to be in between the pipes for Sunday's game against the Sabres, Dan Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom starting makes sense since Ryan Miller coughed up four goals on 30 shots in Saturday's matinee loss against the Bruins. Of course, it hasn't been confirmed, and Miller facing his former team in Buffalo would be special. Markstrom is a decent streaming option in daily fantasy pools when the matchup is favorable.

Markstrom turned aside 29 of the 32 shots he faced in Tuesday's 4-2 loss against the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom did a pretty solid job between the pipes, as one goal came on the power play. Initially that goal was waved off, but video review showed the puck just trickled over the line. He continues to give his team a chance to win every night lately, allowing three or fewer goals in 10 starts in a row, and each of his past 12 appearances. Markstrom remains a decent low-end No. 2 netminder in most fantasy pools.

Markstrom will start in goal for Tuesday's matchup with Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
The big Swede has been a more-than-steady backup to Ryan Miller this season, and he's been phenomenal in his last six starts, going 3-2-1 with a 2.15 GAA and .934 save percentage. What's so impressive about this run is that none of Markstrom's last six starts came in consecutive games, whereas most goaltenders find it difficult to get on a roll when they aren't playing consistently. If Markstrom's able to continue this trend, he could be a cheap fantasy play Tuesday.

Markstrom saved 30 of 32 shots during Wednesday's win over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
While the wins aren't piling up, Markstrom owns a solid 2.31 GAA and .927 save percentage over his past 12 outings. He's clearly the No. 2 goalie behind Ryan Miller, but Markstrom shouldn't be overlooked as a streaming option or low-priced flier in daily contests when he receives the starting nod against a favorable opponent.

Markstrom will guard the cage in Wednesday's road game against the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom has been pretty sharp in limited action over the past month, posting a 2-2-1 record with a 2.18 GAA and .933 save percentage over five appearances. The Swedish goaltender will look to pick up his ninth win of the season in a highly favorable road matchup with Colorado's league-worst offense.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 22 shots in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Devils on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old's mini three-game hot streak is officially over, as Markstrom has yielded five goals on the last 53 shots (.906) he's faced. In the three games prior to that, he posted a .946 save percentage. Despite cooling off, Markstrom is on pace to surpass all of his numbers from last season except save percentage.

Markstrom will face shots from the visiting Devils on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom has looked good as the change-of-pace goalie recently, posting a respectable .937 save percentage on his way to two wins over his last four starts. The Swedish backstop will look for his ninth win of the season against a New Jersey squad that ranks 28th in the NHL with 2.18 goals per game.

Markstrom stopped 28 of 31 shots in Saturday's loss to the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom hadn't started a game since Dec.31 and didn't get much offensive support in his return to the cage. While the Canucks winning streak was snapped, Markstrom still owns a decent 8-9-2 record with a .912 save percentage. With the way Ryan Miller has been playing, Markstrom has taken a backseat of late, but the 26-year-old has been reliable this season and is worth putting into your lineup when he does get the nod.
