Markstrom will protect the road net Tuesday against the Panthers,
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom returns to the net for his sixth straight start for the Canucks, posting a 2.81 GAA, a .902 save percentage and a 3-2-0 record over that span. He takes his efforts on the road for Tuesday's matchup, where he owns a 6-6-3 record this season with just an .899 save percentage and a 2.88 GAA. Given that he will take on a Panthers club that does most of its damage at home this season (3.26 goals per game), Markstrom may be in for another rough night.

Markstrom allowed four goals on 28 shots in Saturday's loss to Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
The Lightning are the top team in the NHL and it's hard to blame Markstrom too much for this one, especially considering one of the goals came on a penalty shot. While he was outduelued by early Vezina Trophy candidate Andrei Vasilevskiy, Markstrom continues to struggle at stringing together consistent stretches of strong play. His 15-17-5 record and .907 save percentage may suffice in some deeper leagues, but Markstrom is a below-average starter who isn't a very dependable fantasy play most nights.

Markstrom is listed among NHL.com's "Players to Watch" for Saturday's home game against the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom is 5-3-1 with a 2.55 GAA and .915 save percentage since the calendar flipped to 2018. Those are decent figures, but he'll have to handle the league's top offensive team, as the Bolts average a whopping 3.55 goals per game.

Markstrom's 26 saves led the way in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom outplayed countryman Anton Forsberg, pulling out a two-goal victory despite facing seven more shots. The hulking Swede's in the midst of his best stretch of the season, with five wins in his last seven starts.

Markstrom will patrol the crease Thursday against the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom set aside 27 of the 30 shots he faced Tuesday against Colorado, earning his fourth victory in his last six starts. The 28-year-old netminder returns to the cage Thursday, squaring off against a Blackhawks squad that's won five straight road games.

Markstrom stopped 27 of 30 shots in Tuesday's overtime win over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom got back into the win column with a solid performance against a talented Avalanche squad. He's been fairly inconsistent of late and his 14-16-5 record with a .908 save percentage is evidence of the lackluster season he's had. Markstrom's capable of picking up victories, but there are better options out there if you need a reliable starting netminder who posts strong peripheral stats.

Markstrom will defend the goal against the Avalanche on Tuesday night.
EDGE Analysis
It hasn't been smooth sailing for Markstrom lately, as the Swedish goalie has not allowed fewer than two goals in any of his starts since he recorded a shutout on Dec. 5, a span of 16 games that has seen him post a hideous .896 save percentage. It may be tough for him to pull it together Tuesday against a Colorado squad that has recorded 3.40 goals per game on average in January.

Markstrom stopped 22 of 25 shots in Thursday's loss to the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
The Canucks were shutout for the second time in three games, but Markstrom didn't help the cause. The Swedish netminder failed to come up with a timely save and took his 16th loss of the season. Markstrom has had a few strong outings lately, but the overall struggles of the team make it hard to roll him out in fantasy. Markstrom's .908 save percentage and heavy workload may be of use to fantasy goers in deeper formats, but be prepared for plenty of losses.

Markstrom will tend twine as Thursday's home starter versus the Sabres, Jeff Paterson of TSN 1040 Vancouver reports.
EDGE Analysis
It only took 20 saves for Markstrom to beat the Sabres on Oct. 20, and the Sabres remain the weakest team in the Eastern Conference. This could cause a fair share of DFS players to hone in on Markstrom on a hefty 15-game slate, but there may be some trepidation among others knowing that he has a losing record (13-15-5) to go along with suspect ratios (2.74 GAA and .909 save percentage) through 35 games.

Markstrom made 30 saves in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom had a surprisingly easy time in this game, getting four goals of support in the first period and two more in the second. The Swedish netminder's been rolling of late with three wins in his past four starts.
