Despite owning some less than impressive numbers for the season, Markstrom's play of late has been trending positively. In his last eight contests, Markstrom has posted a 2.46 GAA and .926 save percentage. The big Swede has been particularly good on the road during this span, owning a 1.22 GAA and .960 save percentage in four games, which bodes well for Wednesday's tilt in Anaheim.

The 28-year-old should be fully recovered from the illness he caught Thursday, and with Arizona ranking 30th in the NHL for goals scored per game (2.4), it wouldn't be surprising to see Markstrom pick up where he left off after serving as the backup Friday.

The Swedish backstop will look to keep rolling and pick up his 19th win of the season in a home matchup with a hot Coyotes club that's gone 7-2-1 in its last 10 games.
