Jacob Josefson netted his first goal of the season in a 4-3 shootout loss Friday night. Zach Parise and Adam Henrique each scored a goal in the losing effort. Alexei Ponikarovsky, Dainius Zubrus, Bryce Salvador, David Clarkson, Andy Greene, and Adam Larsson were each credited with an assist.

Jacob Josefson has been promoted by the New Jersey Devils. Josefson was sent to the minors so that he could continue to play during the NHL All-Star break. Josefson has an assist in nine games with New Jersey this season.

The Devils have demoted Jacob Josefson to the AHL for the All-Star break. Albany heads to Binghamton on Friday and hosts Adirondack on Saturday before the AHL All-Star festivities take place. Josefson hasn't recorded a point in four games since returning from a lengthy absence because of a broken clavicle and could use the extra work.

He has little value in fantasy league, but he's worth keeping an eye on due to his potential upside.

Jacob Josefson (broken clavicle) resumed skating for the first time on Wednesday. He took to the ice on his own prior to the team's morning skate, but he's not expected to return any time soon. "He got the clearance to skate and he skated this morning," GM Lou Lamoriello said. "It's going to be a while." Josefson hasn't played since Oct. 21 because of a broken clavicle, but getting back on the ice is a positive step in his recovery.

Jacob Josefson will be examined by a doctor on Tuesday to assess his surgically repaired broken clavicle. GM Lou Lamoriello said the Devils center is making great progress and could resume skating on his own soon. As of last week, Josefson has missed two months of his original three-to-four month prognosis.
