Although he practiced with his teammates on Friday, Jacob Josefson (fractured left wrist) remains a long shot to play Monday in Game Four against the Rangers.
He has not seen game action since April 3rd and New Jersey coach Peter DeBoer may want to see him practice a few more times before putting him into a playoff contest.

Jacob Josefson skated on his own Tuesday and he is progressing well after being sidelined since Apr. 3 with a fractured wrist.
He is hoping to return before the end of the conference finals and is "getting better and better every day, and the strength is almost back and the [range of] motion almost normal," according to coach Pete DeBoer. The next step for him will be clearance to resume practices.

Depending on how long the Devils stay alive, Jacob Josefson could still see some playoff action.
Josefson fractured a wrist during the final week of the regular season and has not played since. Josefson has yet to appear in an NHL playoff game during his brief career, but Devils fans still might him suit up depending on the length of the ECF and possible advancement to the Cup final.

Jacob Josefson (wrist) resumed skating on Thursday.
Josefson had been off the ice since April 3 when he fractured his wrist. He needs to work himself back into game shape, so he shouldn't be counted on to play in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. However, he might be available in the latter part of the series or, if the Devils win their next series, the Stanley Cup Finals.

Jacob Josefson, who is sidelined with a fractured wrist, might be available to return at some point if the Devils can enjoy a lengthy playoff run.
Coach Pete DeBoer said Josefson's wrist has healed up properly and he should be able to resume skating in the "near future." He hasn't played since Apr. 3 with what was originally projected to be a four-to-six week injury.

Jacob Josefson sustained a fractured wrist in Tuesday's win over the Islanders and is projected to be out for four to six weeks.
"It's a tough break," coach Pete DeBoer said. "He was playing so well and to come back and already battle through the one major injury, it's a tough hand to be dealt for him and for us because he was becoming a real valuable piece for us." Josefson has been limited to 41 games this campaign and has generated only nine points over that time. He had been playing on New Jersey's fourth line of late.
