Eichel opened the scoring with a power-play goal and added an assist on Cody Franson's tally in Tuesday's win over the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
After scoring the Sabres' lone goal in a home loss to Tampa five days earlier, Eichel seemingly came out determined to turn the tables all by himself Tuesday, and it worked. He's now got five points over the course of a three-game point streak, and by all indications, the best is yet to come.

Eichel practiced with Tyler Ennis on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Buffalo's two top offensive players are expected to skate on the same line with Jamie McGinn on the left wing Tuesday against Tampa Bay. Eichel and Ennis displayed fabulous chemistry during the preseason but were separated to provide more balance on the Sabres' top two lines to start the season. Ennis, who previously skated with Ryan O'Reilly, said that he and Eichel play very similar styles and should be able to generate some scoring chances against a tough Lightning squad. This is good news for Eichel, who is coming off a two-assist game against Vancouver. It remains to be seen if the pair will remain together but the scoring creativity that each player brings to the table is undeniable.

Eichel netted his fifth goal of the season in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie center registered a game-high six shots and skated 19:41 on a line with Johan Larsson and Marcus Foligno. It's been hard for Eichel to get in the assist column with Evander Kane sidelined and the Sabres struggling to score.

Eichel won more than half of his faceoffs for the second straight game Tuesday against the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
The second overall pick went 5-for-9 in the dot, including a win on the penalty kill. Usually, faceoffs are one of the biggest weaknesses for rookie centers, but as usual, Eichel seems to be the exception. Tuesday night's game elevated Eichel's faceoff winning percentage to 47 percent, compared to Connor McDavid's 35 percent. With Zemgus Girgensons struggling in the circle, it's all the more important that the Sabres have a second option behind Ryan O'Reilly. Eichel is the real deal and worth owning in all fantasy leagues.

Eichel scored the eventual game-winning goal in Monday's 4-2 win over Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel is off to a hot start with two goals in two games, both of the highlight reel variety. He showed off his strength and speed against Columbus, picking Boone Jenner's pocket and going wide before firing a wrist shot past Sergei Bobrovsky. Given his production so far with a much more veteran-laden squad, Eichel might be the better rookie to have between him and Connor McDavid.

Eichel scored his first NHL goal in Thursday's 3-1 loss to Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
The goal came in the third period on a Sabres power play to snap Craig Anderson's shutout bid. Eichel was the recipient of a deft pass from Marcus Foligno, and showed a shooter's patience before sniping it top shelf. Eichel should be one of the team's leading scorers this year.

Eichel will begin the season as the team's second-line center between Evander Kane and Brian Gionta, reports The Buffalo News.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel is coming off an impressive preseason with six points in four games to lead the Sabres, so he's certainly earned his spot. The reality, however, is that the Sabres have a pretty interchangeable top-six, meaning that first-line right winger Tyler Ennis may play with Eichel and Kane if offense is needed in a pinch, or Matt Moulson may drop down to give Eichel a better shooter. Regardless, Eichel will have gifted linemates to play with and should have a solid season. He's a must-have in fantasy leagues.

Eichel finished the preseason with six points in four games to pace all Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
This bodes well for the Sabres and Eichel, whom some believe will fare better than Connor McDavid this season. Slated to open with Matt Moulson on his left wing, the pair have shown very good chemistry. If the Sabres need offense in a pinch, head coach Dan Bylsma may opt to put the pair with Tyler Ennis, who has been very vocal about Eichel's impressive talent. Eichel has cemented himself as the team's No. 2 center behind Ryan O'Reilly and should provide fantasy owners with fantastic upside.

Eichel scored the game-winning goal on the penalty kill in a 4-0 win over Toronto on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
This is the second time Eichel has scored the game-winning goal this preseason, beating Connor Brown in a footrace and sniping a wrist shot past Jonathan Bernier's glove. Eichel has simply been dynamite for the Sabres, who have also scored shorthanded goals in each of their preseason contests. Given his performance and potential, Eichel is firmly entrenched as the team's No. 2 center behind Ryan O'Reilly, though head coach Dan Bylsma certainly has the option of playing Eichel with slick winger Tyler Ennis, after the pair showed some good offensive chemistry in their previous preseason game against Ottawa. Eichel is an excellent mid-round pick in across all fantasy leagues.
