Eichel (illness) was not on the ice for Monday's skate, reports Paul Hamilton of WGR 550.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel missed Saturday's game against Toronto but may still return Tuesday against Carolina. He's the Sabres' best sniper and not having him certainly hurts the team's offense. Consider him a game-day decision for Tuesday.

Eichel (illness) won't play Saturday against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel's owners will hope that his absence is limited to a single contest, as the star rookie has been red hot of late, racking up eight points (five goals, three assists) and 31 shots on goal in his last eight games. Recently recalled Daniel Catenacci will slot into the lineup Saturday against the Maple Leafs in Eichel's absence, who will hope to return to action Tuesday against Carolina.

Eichel scored twice Saturday, including the overtime winner with a fraction of a second remaining, to lift the Sabres to a 3-2 victory over the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
It was Eichel's first overtime goal. He's been on fire lately and has five goals and two assists in his last six games. The 19-year-old Eichel now sits with 48 points, including 22 goals, in 70 games and should be a lock to hit the high 50s by season's end.

Eichel reached the 20-goal milestone at 19 years and 131 days, becoming the youngest Sabre to ever do so.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel scored his 20th Monday against Toronto, the third straight game he's scored a goal and the fifth straight game he's played at least 20 minutes. He has 200 shots on the season for a tidy 10.0 shooting percentage and has helped the Sabres climb out of the league's bottom-five. He's not an elite fantasy player yet, but that time will come soon enough.

Eichel had a goal and an assist -- both on the power play -- to go along with two PIM in Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
It was a fine game for Eichel, who now has three points in the last two contests combined, as well as four PIM. Before his short streak, the 19-year-old went without a tally in five straight, tying his longest dry spell of the year. The 2015 No. 2 pick has eight goals on the power play for the season -- leading Buffalo in that aspect -- and should continue to produce in what has become a promising rookie campaign.

Eichel scored his 18th of the season in a 6-3 win over Calgary on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
With Ryan O'Reilly (foot) out of the lineup, Eichel has become the team's de facto No. 1 center and lead all pivots with 23:02 in ice time, including 9:17 on the power play. He fired seven shots on goal for a very productive offensive night, but also finished with four giveaways on a night the Flames scored three goals. Sam Reinhart is still the team's leader in goals but Eichel is a keeper-worthy player in fantasy leagues.

Eichel tallied two assists in Friday's 4-0 win over Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
The pair of helpers give the rookie a four-game point streak and six points in his last six contests. Eichel is second on the Sabres in scoring (41 points), shots on goal (173 SOG) and goals (17), so it's safe to say it's been a solid debut campaign thus far for last summer's second-overall pick.

Eichel tallied an assist in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
With his gorgeous no-look helper, Eichel is now second among rookies in total points at 39, trailing Chicago's Artemi Panarin, who has 54. The 19-year-old has recorded points in three straight, continuously proving his worth as the 2015 No. 2 pick, and rewarding fantasy owners on a nightly basis.

Eichel will dress against Philadelphia after missing Wednesday's practice, reports The Buffalo News.
EDGE Analysis
Buffalo's rookie star took Wednesday off to heal up some bumps and bruises after taking a shot off the leg Tuesday against Florida. The Sabres are mired in a three-game losing streak and Eichel is minus-5 with just one assist in those three games, bringing his season total to 36 points in 54 games and a minus-15 rating. The Flyers will also enter Thursday's game with a three-game losing streak of their own, and both teams will want to come out with all cylinders firing. Eichel has one goal in two career games against them.

Eichel scored twice Tuesday -- once on the power play to tie the game, then at even strength for the game-winner -- in a 3-2 win over Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
The latter goal was credited to Eichel unassisted, which seems like kind of a raw deal for his linemates after Craig Anderson bobbled a Zemgus Girgensons shot and Eichel tapped it into the net. Nonetheless, Eichel's suddenly started clipping along at a much faster pace on the run-up to the All-Star break; he has seven points in his last five games and 20 in his last 18, a pace more reminiscent of the young superstar we thought we'd get from Day 1. Hey, even the best of 'em need an adjustment period, and Eichel's quite likely to rank among the NHL's top players in the coming years.
