Rookie Gabriel Landeskog played well in his pre-season debut on Thursday.
Landeskog skated with Daniel Winnik and Ryan O'Reilly and played 17:46 minutes including seeing time on the power play and as a penalty killer. "I thought Gabe looked good," Avs coach Joe Sacco said. "I thought he skated well, was really strong on the puck in the corners, took the puck to the net a couple of times, generated some offense that way, so I liked his game." Landeskog is likely to remain with the Avalanche this season as he was thought to be the most NHL ready player in the 2011 Entry Draft.
