Andersen will take on the Rangers as a home starter Saturday, Dave McCarthy of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Maple Leafs are a shoo-in for the playoffs, which means we should see a composed netminder in Andersen. He'll take on a hapless Rangers team with five straight losses in a division that currently features six clubs with a winning record. Andersen is 34-15-4 with a 2.73 GAA and .918 save percentage through 54 games this season -- those numbers are in line with his career averages, and the only drag on his fantasy value is that he's only pitched one shutout this year.

Andersen stopped 17 of 19 shots in Tuesday's 3-0 loss to the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Nashville's final goal was scored into an empty net. Andersen wasn't particularly busy, but he had little chance on the two goals he allowed, both of which were the product of some pinpoint passing. After surrendering 14 goals and getting the hook twice in his prior three starts, however, this outing counts as progress.

Andersen will tend the twine Tuesday in Nashville, Paul Hendrick of the Maple Leafs' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen got a rare night off in the second game of a back-to-back set Saturday, needing a reset after allowing four or more goals in three straight outings. Nashville sits in the middle of the pack in terms of scoring (3.00 goals per game) in March, though the club averages just 2.89 goals per game at home, so Andersen could have a decent shot to notch win No. 35.

Andersen stopped 23 of 29 shots in Friday's 7-6 win over the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
While he managed to play all three periods in this one, it was still another rough outing for the netminder, who's been tagged for 14 goals on only 62 shots over his last three starts -- a brutal .774 save percentage. Expect Andersen to get the night off Saturday in Ottawa to try and regain his focus.

Andersen will start between the pipes in Friday's clash with the visiting Flyers, Mark Masters of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen got the early hook in each of his last two starts. The 29-year-old gave up four goals on 19 shots to the Lightning on Monday and then four goals on 14 shots to the Blackhawks on Wednesday. Andersen will face a Flyers team that's in do-or-die mode -- they sit five points out of a wild card spot with 12 games left -- and averaged 3.83 goals per game in their first six games of March, good for fourth-best in the league.

Andersen allowed four goals on 14 shots before being replaced by Garret Sparks to begin the second period of Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
For the second straight start Andersen got an early hook, and he more than deserved this one, as the first two Chicago goals both seemed like pucks the 29-year-old would have had no difficulty rejecting earlier in the year. There's been no suggestion the netminder is nursing any kind of injury or illness, but with the Leafs facing a back-to-back set this weekend, Sparks could well get the nod Friday on home ice against the Flyers, giving Andersen an extra day to clear his head before a road trip to Ottawa.

Andersen will start between the home pipes Wednesday against the Blackhawks, Mark Masters of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off a rare yanking from the net Monday versus the Lightning, Andersen retakes the cage Wednesday looking to regain his 2.53 GAA and .925 save percentage form at the home rink. The Blackhawks enter the contest on a three-game winning streak, scoring 14 goals over that span, so Andersen, though they notched just two in their only road game and the two home contests came against the Sabres and Coyotes.

Andersen allowed four goals on 19 shots before getting replaced by Garret Sparks early in the second period of Monday's 6-2 loss to the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
It's his first regulation loss since Feb. 21, and the first time he's gotten the hook since early December. Anderson's 2.62 GAA and .922 save percentage on the season remains strong, and he'll get a day to clear his head before the Leafs host the Blackhawks on Tuesday.

Andersen will be the starting goaltender for Monday's home game against the Lightning, Dave McCarthy of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Leafs' netminder is coming off a win in his last start and has gone nearly a month without a regulation loss, with Andersen's last such defeat coming back on Feb. 21. He'll be going for his 34th win of the season Monday, facing a Lightning team that has just two losses in its last 15. The Danish netminder is .500 in two meetings with Tampa Bay this season, winning the last matchup with the league leaders by a score of 4-2.

Andersen made 31 saves in a 3-2 win over the Oilers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The Leafs played 58-and-a-half great minutes of hockey, followed by a 90 seconds of stink. Freddy bent, giving up two goals in that late span, but held the fort on a couple of fabulous chances in the last minute to preserve the win. Andersen is elite and thankfully the Leafs have had a change of heart with respect to the number of starts he will have before season's end. Use him well.
