Andersen (upper body) will not be available in a backup role Wednesday, but will join the Ducks on their upcoming road trip, Curtis Zupke of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen's absence Wednesday will once again result in Anton Khudobin as the backup to starter John Gibson. It appears Andersen may not be out too much longer, but the team should provide an update at some point prior to his return.

Andersen isn't expected to be available for Sunday's game due to an upper-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear where the upper-body injury originated, but it may have come during Friday's contest against the Stars. John Gibson will receive the start Sunday, and the Ducks brought up Anton Khudobin as a potential backup should Andersen miss the contest as expected. His timetable remains a bit unclear right now, but the team should further update his status at some point in the near future. Assuming he misses as expected, the netminder's next chance to play would then come Wednesday against the Wild.

Andersen stopped 22 of 24 shots in Friday's win over Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
That's back-to-back wins for Andersen, who advances to 7-8-5 on the season. The 26-year-old is splitting the crease with John Gibson this year, but he's been a reliable fantasy option when called upon, posting a .915 save percentage through 23 games. Andersen hasn't collected many victories this season, but the Ducks are playing better of late and have won three of their last four games, so look for Andersen to start getting into the win column on a more regular basis.

Andersen is in goal for Friday's game against the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen posted a solid performance Wednesday against the Senators to earn his sixth victory of the year, stopping 23 of the 24 shots he faced. The netminder will get a chance at his seventh win Friday, squaring off against a Stars club that leads the league in scoring at 3.34 goals per game this season.

Andersen improved to 6-8-5 by stopping 24 of 25 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 win over Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen was able to out-duel Ottawa counterpart Craig Anderson in this one, although he sports a pretty abysmal ratio with just six wins in 19 decisions. With teammate John Gibson leading the NHL in GAA, Andersen's opportunities between the pipes should be few and far between.

Andersen will start in goal Wednesday against the Senators, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen seems to have dropped behind John Gibson in the goalie rotation, but performed pretty well in relief of Gibson last Wednesday. He'll finally get a chance of his own between the pipes Wednesday, facing a Senators club that's scored just 1.60 goals per game in five January contests.

Andersen replaced an injured John Gibson (lower body) Wednesday night and ended up stopping 12 of 13 shots that came his way in the 4-0 loss.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen entered the game early in the third period after Gibson collided with Leafs forward Nazem Kadri. Freddie surrendered a goal from Brad Boyes that was launched from deep in the attacking zone and danced around multiple defenders to ruin what could have been a perfect night in relief. Gibson is currently listed as day-to-day, but Andersen presumably would pick up most (if not all) of the work in goal for as long as Gibson could be held out.

Andersen will be in goal for Friday's game against the Canucks, Kevin Woodley of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen will attempt to get back on track after being pulled following just one period in his last start against the Islanders. He will square off against a Vancouver squad that scored a combined four goals over its last three games.

Andersen was pulled replaced at the start of the second period Monday after allowing three goals on 11 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Yikes. Things have not gone well for Andersen from the get-go this year, as he opened the season with eight straight losses in October before an illness and more inconsistent play opened the door for John Gibson to step into the Ducks' crease. He's now 5-8-4 with a .911 save percentage and a 2.59 GAA on the year and is in no way guaranteed the lion's share of starts as John Gibson has shown flashes of brilliance in his 10 appearances (4-4-1, .928 save percentage, 1.87 GAA) and is likely to start Tuesday against the Rangers.

Andersen will be between the pipes in Monday's game against the Islanders, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen turned in a quality performance in his last game, allowing just one goal on 22 shots faced in a win over New Jersey. The 26-year-old Dane goaltender has a less than stellar record of 5-7-4, but this is more due to Anaheim's anemic offense than any fault on Andersen's part. He draws a matchup against an Islanders squad Monday that has dropped three straight contests.
