Karlsson dished out two assists in 24:08 of ice time in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to Team North America.
EDGE Analysis
Sweden's best blueliner got back on the scoresheet after being held pointless in a victory over Team Finland earlier in the week. With three points in three World Cup games, it's been business as usual for the Senators' captain, who will look to add to his international scoring totals when Sweden takes on Team Europe in the semifinals on Sunday.

Karlsson has been announced as a finalist for the 2016 Norris Trophy, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson will face stiff competition for the award, with Drew Doughty and Brent Burns joining him as finalists. First, let's start with the bad for the blueliner -- a mediocre minus-2 rating. As for the rest, the 25-year-old Swede was downright spectacular. The 2008 first-round pick totaled 82 points, finding twine 16 times and amassing 66 apples. Karlsson was also special on the power play, notching 26 total points (25 helpers) in 4:39 of ice time during the man advantage. The superstar etched his name in history, becoming the fifth defenseman to reach 60 assists in a single season, and he also recorded the most points ever by a Swedish blueliner, surpassing the decorated Nicklas Lidstrom. Karlsson did everything he could this season to take home his third Norris Trophy, and he'll find out if it was enough when the winner is announced June 22.

Karlsson finished his record-breaking 2015-16 season with a career-high 82 points, registering 16 goals, 66 assists and 50 PIM in 82 games.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson's season was so spectacular that is would be doing the superstar a disservice if we didn't mention it again. The 25-year-old had a campaign to remember, notching the most points ever by a Swedish defenseman, while also becoming just the second blueliner in history to lead his squad in points for three or more seasons. Oh, not to mention the 2008 first-round pick is just one of five defensemen to ever surpass 60 apples. Karlsson is the best in the business without much debate, and the only icing on the cake he's missing is the coveted Norris Trophy (winner still to-be-determined). We like his chances, and the Swede remains amongst fantasy's elite going into next season.

Karlsson will sit out the World Championships in order to be well-rested for the 2016 World Cup in September, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old deserves some rest, and Karlsson will now set his sights on leading Team Sweden to a 2016 World Cup. The superstar blueliner for Ottawa finished up one of the best campaigns ever by a defenseman, notching 82 points -- 56 at even strength -- and potentially a Norris Trophy to top it all off.

Karlsson recorded an assist and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-1 win against the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson finished his stellar campaign with 82 points -- easily the highest on the team. The 25-year-old became just the second blueliner to lead his squad in points in three-plus seasons, putting the icing on the cake in what may also lead to a Norris Trophy despite Ottawa's down year. The Swede ended 2015-16 with -- no surprise -- points in five straight, and he'll now set his sights on the upcoming 2016 World Cup.

Karlsson scored his 100th NHL goal in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson keeps on piling up the milestones. The superstar's tally pushed him to 80 points on the season, which is a first for an Ottawa blueliner. The massive count also ties Niklas Lidstrom for most all-time amongst Swedish defensemen, and the 25-year-old still has two games to surpass that total. If there's anything to knock Karlsson for, it's his minus-3 rating on the year, but who are we to put a damper on one of the most decorated seasons by a blueliner -- this guy's a stud and should be treated as such for a long time.

Karlsson set a new career-high 79 points with a power-play assist in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson isn't just playing for pride with the Sens out of the playoff picture -- he's pushing for milestones. Not only did the superstar set a new career high, 64 assists on the year ties him with Nicklas Lidstrom for the most helpers in a season by a Swedish defenseman. The 25-year-old has notched an apple in two straight, and factoring in his point-per-game pace, we like his chances of surpassing that total and placing himself atop elite company.

Karlsson scored a goal on his only shot, adding a helper and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 3-2 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
While the Senators are officially eliminated from playoff contention, don't tell Karlsson that, as he continues to excel as the best blueliner in the business. The Swedish superstar had a rare four-game pointless streak in March, but since then, he's posted four markers and six helpers in 10 outings. Karlsson is now one goal shy of hitting 100 for his young career -- don't forget he's just 25 years old.

EDGE Analysis
Karlsson continues to get his through the struggles of Ottawa, notching points in three straight and continuing his torrid point-per-game pace. The Swedish superstar is as consistent as they come, and we expect nothing but fireworks as the season winds down.

Karlsson dished out an assist for the second straight game Wednesday against the Islanders, giving him 62 on the season.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson's helper raised his point total to 75, which is one more than his 2013-14 output, and just three shy of his career high of 78 set back in 2011-12. The Swedish blueliner found a way to contribute despite the Senators scoring just once on backup netminder John-Francois Berube, once again demonstrating his ability to excel even when his teammates don't.
