Lack gave up three goals on 23 shots for his third straight loss Thursday against the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
He's heading into the end of another poor season on a low note, as Lack's lost three straight, giving up 10 goals in that span. Like most teams in the league, the Hurricanes have a back-to-back set this weekend, and Lack can be expected to start either Saturday's home tilt against the Blues or Sunday's road game in Philly.

Lack will start in goal for the Hurricanes on Thursday as they take on the visiting Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
The Isles have a three-game winning streak going -- they defeated the Sabres and Predators on the road in the last two -- despite venerable pivot John Tavares (lower body) being lost for the rest of the year. Lack will square off against this team for the first time this season. He's been rather stingy with opponents at home judging on his 3-2-1 record, 2.13 GAA and .924 save percentage.

Lack allowed three goals, including two power-play markers, in a 3-2 loss to the Penguins on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
In his first action since suffering a scary neck injury last Monday, Lack stopped 22 of 23 at even strength, but the penalty kill uncharacteristically let him down Sunday. The top PK unit in the league coming into the game yielded two man advantage goals to the Penguins. Seeing as though the Hurricanes have one more back-to-back situation, Lack might have one more start this season. Plan accordingly.

Lack led his team onto the ice for warmups, indicating that he will be the starting goalie for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Lack takes charge of the goal for the first time since sustaining a scary looking neck injury during Monday's loss to the Red Wings. Prior to that game, the 29-year-old was on a four-game winning streak, during which he posted a .954 save percentage and 1.25 GAA with three one-goal performances. He'll take on a Penguins team that has been outstanding at home this season, averaging a league-best 3.82 goals per game.

Lack (neck) will be in the lineup Saturday against the Stars as a backup to Cam Ward.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Bill Peters said that Lack is well enough to be a backup, but it is yet to be decided when he can contribute on the ice. Carolina sent Alex Nedeljkovic back to ECHL Florida, so it's a good sign that the Hurricanes are putting this much confidence in Lack's health. This is one to keep an eye on as he continues to work toward a full recovery.

Lack (neck) is feeling better and is hoping to skate either Saturday or Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
It sounds as though Lack and the rest of the Hurricanes' optimism is high concerning the goalie's potential return, but he will likely need to log multiple practices before he is given clearance to return to the lineup. As such, don't expect him to draw into the lineup for the weekend's games against the Stars or Penguins.

Lack was diagnosed with a strained neck and released from the hospital after being stretchered off the ice during Monday's tilt with Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Though everyone will be relieved to hear that Lack escaped serious injury, it's highly unlikely that he'll be able to suit up for the second of back-to-back games with the Red Wings on Tuesday. Expect further updates to be given on Lack in the coming days.

Lack was stretchered off the ice at the conclusion of Monday's game against the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
The netminder was injured on the game-winning overtime goal in a collision with Andreas Athanasiou. The goal was reviewed and upheld, thus handing the Canes the loss. It's not clear yet what type of injury Lack is dealing with since no update was provided by the team after the game, but he was seen giving a thumbs up while being stretchered off the ice. At this point, it's safe to say he won't be between the pipes Tuesday against the same Red Wings squad, with his status going forward uncertain for now.

Lack will be between the posts for Monday night's contest against the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
Lack makes his third consecutive start and will be going for his fifth win in a row Monday. The 29-year-old has been one of the more pleasant surprises in the waning weeks of the season, as he's put together a 5-1-0 record with a .950 save percentage and 1.34 GAA over his last six starts. He'll look to keep up the good play against a Detroit squad that is averaging just 2.31 goals per game in March.

Lack will be in the crease for Monday's game against Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Lack is in the midst of a hot streak with a .954 save percentage and 1.35 GAA in his last four games. Considering Detroit ranks near the bottom of the NHL in scoring with 2.38 goals per game, Lack's chances of continuing his tear are high.
