Lack stopped 22 of 23 shots in Friday's Game 2 win over the Flames. The Canucks gave Lack an early 2-0 lead in the first period that the goalie would never relinquish, earning the game's first star for his efforts. Lack's strong performance in Game 2 to even the series will likely continue to make him coach Willie Desjardins preferred option in goal over Ryan Miller until further notice.

Lack will get the start in goal Friday against the Flames, Irfaan Gaffar of Sportsnet reports. Lack took the loss in Wednesday's Game 1, despite allowing only two goals on 30 shots. He'll get another chance in Game 2 before the series shifts to Calgary.

Lack turned aside 28 of 30 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Flames in Game 1. Lack looked great heading into the third, having stopped all 20 shots sent his way and enjoying a 1-0 lead. However, as they've done all the season, the pesky Flames made another successful third-period comeback, capped off by Kris Russell's goal from the point with 30 seconds left. Look for another strong performance from Lack in Game 2, as the Canucks will surely not want to head to Calgary and play in front of the "C of Red" down 2-0 in the series.

Coach Willie Desjardins confirmed that Lack will start Wednesday's game against the Flames, Elliott Pap of the Vancouver Sun reports. The Canucks' goaltending plans beyond Game 1 have not yet been mapped out, though obviously a strong effort in Wednesday's playoff opener at home would boost Lack's chances of holding on to the assignment in Friday's Game 2.

Lack posted his second shutout of the year Thursday, stopping all 28 shots the Coyotes sent his way in a 5-0 victory. That's two terrific outings in a row for Lack, albeit against a choking Kings team and a cellar-dwelling Coyotes squad. It seems likely that the Canucks will get Ryan Miller a tuneup start Saturday against the Oilers, so this probably marks the end of Lack's regular season, leaving him with an 18-13-4 record, .921 save percentage and 2.45 GAA. Those rate stats are better than Miller's, even if the wins and losses haven't worked out the same way for Lack.

Coach Willie Desjardins confirmed Lack will start in goal Thursday against the Coyotes, Elliott Pap of the Vancouver Sun reports. Ryan Miller will serve as the backup goalie in his first game back from a knee injury that cost him six weeks of action. While Desjardins hasn't indicated that Miller's return will permanently displace Lack as the No. 1 goalie during the playoffs, it certainly wouldn't surprise if that ended up being the result. Lack has been a capable fill-in for Miller with a 17-13-4 record, 2.52 GAA, and a .919 save percentage on the season, but those numbers probably aren't eye-popping enough to entrench him as the Canucks' top option in the net.

Lack is likely to receive the start in goal Thursday against the Coyotes. The Canucks activated Ryan Miller (knee) from injured reserve earlier Thursday and will have him available for the game, but it sounds like coach Willie Desjardins will use the goalie in a backup capacity in an effort to ease him back into action. As a result, Lack figures to make what could be his final start of the regular season, as the Canucks would likely turn to Miller for Saturday's finale against the Oilers. With a 2.52 GAA and .919 save percentage over 40 outings this season, Lack's performance has stacked up favorably with Miller's, but the latter's larger contract and greater experience in high-pressure games may force Lack to assume a No. 2 role during the playoffs.

Lack was terrific Monday, turning aside 36 of 37 shots before prevailing 2-1 in the shootout over Los Angeles. Both goalies practically stood on their head in what felt like a playoff game, as Jonathan Quick made 37 saves of his own at the other end of the rink. Lack improved to 17-13-4 with a 2.52 GAA and .919 save percentage on the year and has been quite sturdy in relief of Ryan Miller (knee), who is nearing a return after sitting out nearly two months with the injury.

Lack will start Monday's game against the Kings, The Province reports. Ryan Miller (knee) hopes to return before the end of the regular season, but Lack will apparently get at least one more start. Following Monday's contest, the Canucks close out their season with games against the Coyotes (Thurs.) and Oilers (Sat.).

Lack gave up five goals on 36 shots in Saturday afternoon's 5-4 loss to the Jets. A three-goal first by Winnipeg but Lack and the Canucks behind early, but they clawed back in what was a wild, back-and-forth affair. Lack has been quite serviceable in relief of Ryan Miller (knee) over the last six weeks, but has sputtered recently in giving up 20 goals over his last six games. With news of Miller potentially returning next week for a few tune-up games before the playoffs, Lack's time between the pipes in Van City appears to be running out, so those in daily leagues vying for a title will want to adjust their netminding assets accordingly.
