Keith chipped in a trio of assists in Monday's come-from-behind 5-4 shootout win over the visiting Predators.
The slick-skating rearguard was influential in Chicago's comeback in this one, assisting on the first, third, and fourth Blackhawk goals -- two of which tied the game. With the three apples, Keith is up to six goals and 23 points to go with a tidy plus-14 rating, 12 PIM and 87 SOG in 36 games this year, making him a top-15 d-man in most leagues.

Keith (illness) will return to the lineup Saturday against the Blue Jackets, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
Keith was held out of Tuesday's game with an illness, but after passing all tests for the mumps, he was able to rejoin the team for Friday's practice. He looked healthy and effective during the session, which was enough for coach Joel Quennevile to sign off on his return to the lineup. The blueliner has already matched last season's total of six goals, but is otherwise off the pace from reaching 60 points for the second straight campaign.

Coach Joel Quenneville indicated after Tuesday's win over the Wild that the illness that forced Keith to miss the game was unlikely to be related to the mumps, Brian Sandalow of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
That's a welcome relief for Keith, but it should be noted that there have been other instances this season where a player with an illness wasn't thought to be dealing with the mumps, only to be diagnosed with the condition a few days later. For now, it appears Keith's issue isn't quite that serious, and it's believed he'll be ready to go for Saturday's match in Columbus.

It's not clear what type of illness Keith is dealing with, but it will prevent him from taking the ice Tuesday. Expect an update on his status as more details become available.

Keith scored a goal late in the third period to send the game to overtime in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Devils.
The league's top defenseman continues to play well as he as scored a point in three of his past five games as well as a plus-6 rating in that time frame. Keith has already matched his goal scoring total from last season with six as well as adding 12 assists through 28 games played.

Keith contributed an assist and was a plus-3 Friday, earning first star honors in a win over Anaheim.
Another solid outing for Keith, who is now riding a four-game point streak, putting him at five goals and 15 points in 23 games on the season. He is an absolute workhorse and one of the most consistent fantasy defensemen around. Keep him rolling.

Keith missed morning's skate, but will be on the ice against the Avalanche on Wednesday night, CSN Chicago reports.
It might just be an off day as the Blackhawks are currently on their West Coast trip. Keith has two goals and 20 assists in 36 games played in his career against Colorado. After having a career high of 55 assists last season, he only has eight in 21 games and has mirrored the Blackhawks' on-and-off offensive struggles this season.

Keith scored his fourth goal of the season and had an assist, while logging a team-high 25:31 of ice time in Sunday's win over Dallas.
Keith now has 11 points in 18 games and appears destined to hit the 50-point mark for the second straight season. What's most impressive is Keith is shooting the puck a ton. He has 49 shots on goal thus far and is on pace to post the highest goal-total of his NHL career. What a stud.

Keith had a productive outing Thursday versus the Senators, finishing with an assist, two penalty minutes, four blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in the shootout win.
Keith certainly isn't struggling this season by any means, but his six points in 10 games haven't put him on par with some of the league's other Norris Trophy contenders from the blue line. He'll probably rank among the top-tier players at his position by the end of the campaign -- just don't expect a repeat of last season's 55 assists, which ranked tops among defensemen.

Keith delivered a goal and a power-play assist Thursday against the Stars.
Keith made a strong early case to defend last season's Norris Trophy nod, as he kicked off the game's scoring with less than a minute remaining in the first period. In addition, he would finish with a game-high 29:40 time on ice, but expect him to settle in closer to the 24-to-25 minute range most nights.
