Duncan Keith scored one goal and three assists to help the Chicago Blackhawks advance to the second round of the playoffs with a 5-1 Game 6 win on Sunday.
He generated seven points in a 4-2 series win against the St. Louis Blues. This is easily the second-best (if not best) season of his NHL career, as he scored 61 points and generated nice peripherals. Aside from his Norris Trophy campaign, this is the best work the star defenseman has ever generated in the league.

Duncan Keith was on the ice for an unbelievable 40:59 Thursday night.
That's understandable if you are the best defenseman on a team that has just participated in a triple overtime. If this series produces many more close games that go into extra time like Game 1, players like Keith and Alex Pietrangelo will be all worn out by the end of the first round.

Coach Joel Quenneville has eased up on the practices since the Sochi Games and it's worked out well for Keith, who won a gold medal with Canada. "He's been at a better level this year as far as both sides of the puck," the Chicago bench boss said of Keith's play this year. "Game in, game out, he does everything we look for." He has earned 57 points, which ranks him second among all blueliners in scoring, and a plus-24 rating in 72 games this campaign. He'll be a top contender for the Norris Trophy at the end of the year.
