Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman is unsure if Keith (knee) will be ready for the start of the regular season, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Keith recently decided not to participate in the upcoming World Cup of Hockey to focus on strengthening his surgically-repaired right knee. When that decision was announced it seemed to be a precautionary move for Keith, but this latest news contradicts that notion. The 33-year-old defender's status for Chicago's Oct. 12 regular-season opener against the Blues should become clearer when the 'Hawks kick off their preseason schedule Sep. 28 against Pittsburgh.

Keith won't play for Team Canada at the upcoming World Cup of Hockey, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is purely a precautionary move for Keith. The 33-year-old defender isn't dealing with a new injury, but has decided to forego the opportunity to represent his country in September's World Cup of Hockey to focus on strengthening his right knee, which was operated on last October to repair a meniscal tear. The two-time Norris Trophy winner will be at full strength for the Blackhawks' regular-season opener, so this latest news shouldn't have any affect on his draft stock.

Keith's two goals weren't enough to win the game as Chicago dropped Game 4 by a score of 4-3.
EDGE Analysis
Would the series be different had Keith been available for Game 1? The all-star defenseman now has three goals in three playoff games, and on a night where the Blackhawks' big guns could not score, Keith was the exception. He's a proven playoff performer, but Chicago is on the verge of elimination and there's only so much Keith can do. He finished with 24:36 of ice time to lead all Chicago players.

Keith returned to action Friday, scoring a goal and adding a helper in a Game 2 win over the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Keith had missed the past six games due to a suspension. The Hawks missed the reigning Conn Smythe Trophy winner in Game 1 and his return helped them even their first-round series with the Blues. Keith, who logged a whopping 30:59 of ice time Friday, tied the game in the final seconds of the second period with a rocket from the point. Now that he's returned, look for the 32-year-old to play an instrumental role in Chicago's playoff run.

Keith (suspension) served out his six-match ban and is available for Game 2 on Friday against the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Keith's presence on the blue line was sorely missed in Chicago's Game 1 loss. In fact, without the defenseman, the Blackhawks went 3-0-3. In terms of fantasy value, the Winnipeg native is definitely a high-end option, especially when you factor in his contributions on the power-play. During the regular season, he averaged 2:49 minutes per game with the man advantage while logging four goals and 14 assists. With the 32-year-old set to return, look for Christian Ehrhoff or Viktor Svedberg to be the healthy scratch.

Keith has been suspended six games for the high-sticking incident against the Wild's Charlie Coyle on Tuesday, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Keith ended up waiving his right to an in-person hearing Friday, which indicated he could face a suspension of five games or longer. Given his history of incidents, it shouldn't come as a surprise the star blueliner has been suspended beyond the remainder of the regular season. The resulting punishment will force him to miss Chicago's first game of the playoffs in addition to the final five regular season games, leaving fantasy owners without a key cog at a crucial point in the season. Duncan will finish the season with a respectable 43 points (nine goals, 34 assists), 130 shots on goal and 25:14 of average ice time on the campaign but should be back for Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Keith faces an in-person hearing with the NHL following a Tuesday high-sticking incident that occurred during Chicago's game against the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
That his hearing is in person suggests that Keith could be facing a potential suspension of more than five games, which obviously clouds the blueliner's status for the remainder of the Hawks' regular season slate. The team has five games to go on that front, beginning with Friday's game against the Jets.

Keith was ejected and assessed a match penalty for hitting Wild center Charlie Coyle in the face during the first period of Tuesday's 4-1 loss to Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Keith will be suspended until the NHL is able to review the play, as it was deemed the blueliner was attempting to injure Coyle on purpose. Chicago is already without Brent Seabrook (illness), and now with a multiple-game suspension possibly on the horizon, the eighth-ranked defense of the Blackhawks is left scrambling as the season winds down. Keith was also suspended in the 2013 playoffs for hitting Jeff Carter of Los Angeles in the face -- a matter that won't give the 32-year-old the benefit of the doubt when it comes to reviewing his case.

Keith assisted on a Richard Panik goal during Sunday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran blueliner has always had a knack for finding his teammates on the ice. He has now tied last year's 35 assists, but is well off the pace of his career-high 55. He's still valuable to fantasy owners in the other categories, picking up two hits and three blocked shots in Sunday's loss. Plus, he logs heavy ice time, meaning the opportunities to put up points are there.

Keith dished out two assists Wednesday in Detroit, bringing his season total to 32 through 55 games.
EDGE Analysis
Keith has experienced an offensive resurgence in 2015-16, trailing last season's total of 35 points in 80 games by just three with 17 to play. He has missed 10 games this season after failing to appear in five over the last two seasons combined, but Keith's .73 point per game rate has more than made up for the defenseman's injury-related concerns.
