Stepan grabbed two more points -- a goal and an assist -- in a 5-4 overtime loss to the visiting Kings on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
With a serviceable but unspectacular offensive ledger (10 goals, 15 assists in 45 games), Stepan has flown under many people's fantasy radars this season. However, he's been held pointless in only four of his last 12 games, quietly picking up 10 points in that span. The American pivot generally falls in the 50-60 point range but is currently on pace for just 40 this year due to a slow start, so look for him to continue to make up ground in the final two months of the season.

Stepan logged an assist in Thursday's 4-2 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
While his season totals (22 points in 41 games) don't quite suggest he's back on a point-per-game pace, playing against his hometown rival Minnesota, Stepan collects his sixth assist and seventh point in the last eight contests. Look for this pace to continue on Saturday as the 25-year-old veteran center usually finds the scorer's sheet (25 points in 27 career games) against Philadelphia.

Stepan registered an assist in Monday's 6-3 win over Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran center heads into the All-Star break on a nice pace, logging a goal and five assists in the last six games. It will be interesting to see if the Minnesota native can pick up where he left off after the league resumes play next week. Stepan is plus-6 with 21 points through 39 games this season.

With a goal and an assist in a 3-2 overtime win against Vancouver on Tuesday, Stepan is now on a three-game points streak.
EDGE Analysis
Stepan has four points in three games and led the Rangers offense with Derick Brassard (illness) out of the lineup. Stepan tied the game up at 1-1 in the second period then received the second assist on J.T. Miller's overtime winner. Stepan has missed time this year and will have a tough road ahead if he wants to post his third straight 50-point season, but remains a good depth center in fantasy leagues with 19 points in 36 games.

Stepan logged an assist in Sunday's 5-2 loss to Washington.
EDGE Analysis
After shaking a three game point-scoring drought, that's assists in consecutive games for the veteran center. All-in-all, Stepan (17 points in 35 games) has really fallen off his near 60-point pace of the last two seasons. Although we can't recommend an extension of his current two-game point streak, the 25-year-old is plus-3 with a goal and four assists in six career games against the team's next opponent Vancouver.

Stepan opened the scoring Tuesday against Dallas, then added a shorthanded goal that turned out to be the game-winner.
EDGE Analysis
Since coming back from broken ribs far sooner than expected, Stepan had been quiet -- just a lone assist in six games. However, the five shots Step put on goal against the Panthers on Saturday foreshadowed Tuesday's breakout, in which he fired another five shots. Incredibly, his breakaway-rebound-putback goal was the Rangers' first shortie of the season -- they scored nine when a man down last year, with Stepan accounting for two of those. Now that it seems he's starting to feel like his old self, don't be surprised to see Stepan go on a nice offensive run.

Stepan logged an assist in Monday's 5-3 loss to Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
Stepan's first point in six games, comes as a big relief for anyone still investing in him. After missing nearly a month with a rib injury, hopefully the second line center can now start to improve upon his 13 points through 27 games played.

Stepan (ribs) will rejoin the lineup Friday against the Capitals, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stepan has been sidelined since late November due to broken ribs, but he's apparently doing well enough to rejoin the lineup Friday. Stepan centered the Rangers' second line before suffering the injury, and will likely slide back into that spot once again Friday in return. However, the team has yet to announce who he will replace in the lineup.

Stepan (ribs) will miss Thursday's contest against the Wild, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stepan was injured Nov. 27 and was originally expected to miss four-to-six weeks. The 25-year-old appears to be ahead of schedule, but remains without a clear timetable for his return. Before going down with an injury, the center was averaging one point every two games. The Rangers are hoping to get that production back as soon as possible.

Stepan (ribs) will not play Tuesday against the Oilers, but is considered day-to-day, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stepan was initially tabbed to miss four-to-six weeks after breaking his ribs, but after just two weeks he's apparently progressed enough for coach Alain Vigneault to upgrade his status to day-to-day. His next chance to slot back into the lineup after Tuesday's contest will come Thursday against the Wild, but given the original timetable, it wouldn't be surprising if Stepan is still held out beyond that point.
