Stepan (ribs) will miss Thursday's contest against the Wild, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.

Stepan was injured Nov. 27 and was originally expected to miss four-to-six weeks. The 25-year-old appears to be ahead of schedule, but remains without a clear timetable for his return. Before going down with an injury, the center was averaging one point every two games. The Rangers are hoping to get that production back as soon as possible.
