The Coyotes placed Schlemko on waivers Friday, TSN's Darren Dreger reports. Schlemko played Thursday, but he has been in the lineup just twice all month, so the Coyotes decided to remove him from the roster. It remains to be seen who will take his place.

Schlemko sat out for the fifth straight game Tuesday. He has only found himself in the lineup for six of Arizona's 15 games. Schlemko dressed for 48 games last season for Arizona, but seems to have been passed on the depth chart by Brandon Gormley among others.

David Schlemko is not close to returning to action. He is nursing a left foot injury sustained while blocking a shot over two weeks ago and has not recovered sufficiently to suit up. Of Schlemko, Coyote coach Dave Tippet said: "He may travel, but I don't foresee him being a player any time soon". Keep Schlemko on reserve until further notice.

David Schlemko (lower body) has returned to Phoenix while his teammates continue their road trip. The Coyotes are scheduled to play in Florida on Tuesday and Boston on Thursday. Coyotes coach Dave Tippett said Schlemko has a bruise after blocking a shot on March 6, but his return clearly isn't imminent.

David Schlemko won't play Saturday because of a lower-body injury. He left Thursday's game after blocking a shot by Montreal's P.K. Subban and is still dealing with some pain. It isn't clear when he'll be available to return.

David Schlemko didn't play on Wednesday due to an upper-body injury. Schlemko has a goal and six points in 35 games this season. He is being listed as day-to-day.

David Schlemko missed a team event on Sunday as he was under the weather. The Coyotes went as a team to visit the kids at Phoenix Children's Hospital and it was obviously not a good idea for an unwell Schlemko to visit. He should be okay to play on Tuesday in Colorado.

David Schlemko returned to action on Monday November 25.

Schlemko has a goal and three points in 15 games this season with 22 hits and 25 blocked shots. Consider him day-to-day for now.
