"I play with Jason and Milan, or I see them in practice every day, so it would be fun to try something else. I'm sure we'll talk to the coaches before the skills, see what they think and what we think, then hopefully we can make up a good lineup to win the game." Alfredsson served alongside the Sedin twins on the international level as representatives of Team Sweden. However, with Alfredsson's career winding down, this could be the last time the trio play in a game together.

Daniel Alfredsson, who is signed through 2012-13, wants to honor the final season of his contract. "The way this season is going, if I'm still healthy after this season, I'm hoping I can go one more," said Alfredsson. "This year has been so good. If we can make the playoffs, that would almost be a dream come true." Alfredsson's cap hit would be $4,875,000 next season, but because his contract is front loaded, he will earn $1 million in 2012-13. Alfredsson has 17 goals and 38 points in 46 games this season, so he's certainly playing like he has something left in the tank.

NHL All-Star team captains Daniel Alfredsson and Zdeno Chara will choose the All-Star Team rosters Thursday night. The first selection will be determined by a coin flip, with Alfredsson and Chara then alternating picks until the final All-Star is left sitting alone in his chair. Each team will be composed of three goaltenders, six defencemen and 12 forwards. Fantasy wise, Alfie has exceeded expectations from where he was drafted in most leagues and should be owned in 12-team leagues.
