Through 10 career regular-season matches, Anderson has posted a 3.34 GAA and .905 save percentage squaring off against Team Teal.

Anderson stopped 33 of the 36 shots he faced in Monday's 5-3 win over the Kings.

Anderson was kept busy all evening, as Ottawa was outshot 36-21 despite ultimately picking up the win. He has given up three or more goals in 17 of his 26 starts playing for the fast-paced Senators, but Anderson still ranks fourth in the NHL with 14 wins. His numbers won't always be pretty, but the 34-year-old does enough to give his team a chance to win most nights.

Anderson will start in the crease Monday against the Kings.

Anderson's start marks his 15th straight for the Senators despite the return of Andrew Hammond off from his conditioning stint. While the veteran's work could begin to ease off a bit moving forward, he will once again serve between the pipes Monday against a Kings club that won six straight games prior to falling to the Sabres on Saturday. Jonathan Quick is expected to oppose him in the contest.

Anderson was pulled mid-way through the second period of Saturday's game after allowing three goals on 31 shots.

He actually had allowed another goal at the time, but it was called back because of it was put in the net with a hand. But the game wasn't Anderson's fault -- his team was sound asleep in front of him. He's lost two straight and five of his last eight.

Anderson is a workhorse between the posts, having logged 24 of 29 starts for a Sens team that is currently 15-9-5. Five more wins and he'll reach 200 for a career that has been split between four teams to date. Ottawa is six points behind Montreal (41) in the Atlantic Division Standings, so this will be an especially important start for Anderson come Saturday evening.

Anderson was beaten for three goals on 29 shots Thursday in a 4-1 loss to the Lightning.

His penalty killers would surely like to have that first-period power-play goal back -- they left Anderson out to dry by allowing Nikita Kucherov to walk into the high slot unmolested and one-time the puck home with only 6.7 seconds left in the frame. Meanwhile, Anderson would probably love to have Valtteri Filppula's third-period tally back, as he gave up a fat rebound just 25 seconds into that period, which was then shot past him. But a bad turnover led to the third one, too, so you can't blame Anderson for taking his fourth loss in the last seven games. This ends the veteran netminder's streak of five straight efforts with a .900 or better save percentage, and Anderson's task won't get much easier Saturday in Montreal.
