Anderson stopped 34 of 35 shots, including two penalty shots in the third period, in a 2-1 win over Detroit on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
When Anderson is on, this is the kind of performance he's capable of producing. The problem is that he faces too many shots and is too inconsistent to trust on a nightly basis. He's a matchup-based play at this point until he proves he can produce nights like Thursday on a consistent basis.

Anderson will guard the net against the Red Wings on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson has appeared in all but two of the Sens' games this season and is sporting a 7-5-3 record and career-worst 3.70 GAA. Despite his struggles, the team will continue to ride their workhorse netminder. With no back-to-back in the near future, the Illinois native may not get another night off for quite some time.

Anderson stopped 24 of 28 shots Saturday, but did enough to help his team take a 6-4 win over Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
This was the light workload Anderson was waiting for, and it ended up with the Lightning scoring four on him, which would have been a loss if his teammates hadn't bailed him out. Anderson's numbers just aren't there in most leagues, and he's now given up at least three goals in his past five games. Go with another option if possible.

Anderson will start in the road goal Saturday, taking on the Lightning, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
Due to the brilliant offensive play of Thoams Chabot -- the defenseman has five goals and 22 points through 16 games -- the Senators have been able to mitigate the loss of Erik Karlsson in the attacking area, but Ottawa's blue line is not what you'd call hermetically sealed. This team is working with a minus-165 shot differential and it has left Anderson spinning on his head all season. He's impressively maintained a 6-5-3 record and .907 save percentage despite facing so much rubber, but there's an ongoing fear that the wheels will fall off Anderson completely if the Senators can't tighten up in their own zone. A date with the high-powered Lightning doesn't lend much confidence to Anderson owners that he'll see a light workload for a change.

Anderson (undisclosed) will guard the cage in Thursday's home matchup with Vegas.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson exited Tuesday's win over the Devils due to an undisclosed issue, but his injury clearly wasn't overly serious. The veteran netminder has been pretty shaky this season, maintaining a sub-par 3.56 GAA and .909 save percentage through 14 appearances. He'll hope to get dialed in and pick up his seventh victory of the campaign in a home matchup with a Golden Knights team that's 2-6-0 on the road this season.

Anderson was forced out of Tuesday's victory over New Jersey due to an undisclosed injury, Callum Fraser of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was taken out of the game with a little over five minutes remaining after making 30 of a possible 33 saves. The netminder was replaced in the nets by Mike McKenna -- who will likely get the start Thursday against the Golden Knights if Anderson is unable to give it a go.

Anderson stopped 30 of 33 shots Tuesday, earning a 7-3 decision over New Jersey.
EDGE Analysis
This is the Anderson that the Senators need if they're going to make any attempt at playing postseason hockey. Three goals isn't ideal, especially when Anderson faces as many shots as he usually does, but it could be a lot worse. He's worth a late flier.

Anderson will tend the twine for Tuesday's home tilt against the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson has just one win in his previous seven outings, along with a 4.16 GAA and .900 save percentage. Given the team's limited backup options, the Illinois native figures to continue seeing the bulk of the starts, regardless of his level of performance.

Anderson will tend the twine versus the Lightning on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson started Saturday against the Sabres but was pulled in the first period after yielding three goals on 10 shots in a game they eventually lost 9-2. The veteran netminder carries a .909 save percentage into the matchup against the Lightning, who rank seventh in the league with a 52.86 Corsi For percentage and sixth with 3.5 goals per game.

Anderson was pulled late in the first period Saturday after coughing up three goals on 10 shots in a 9-2 loss to the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
Backup Mike McKenna didn't fare much better, stopping only 25 of 31 shots in relief as the Sens got routed. Anderson was coming off a 46-save performance Thursday at home against these same Sabres, but the veteran netminder wasn't able to bail out his defense this time. He'll carry a .909 save percentage into his next start, which could come as soon as Sunday against Tampa Bay given his light workload in this one.
