Anderson will start Tuesday versus Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson made 35 saves in his return to action Jan.20. Unfortunately, the 37-year-old still wound up taking the loss after allowing three goals in St. Louis. The Coyotes are coming off a win over Toronto and figure to provide a tough challenge for Ottawa. A win Tuesday will put Anderson over the .500 mark in 2018-19.

Anderson set aside 35 shots in Saturday's 3-2 road loss to the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Making his highly anticipated return from a concussion, Anderson allowed one even-strength goal in each period, and it took a rather sneaky snipe from defenseman Carl Gunnarsson in the third period to seal the win for the home team. Anderson's proven he can handle 60 minutes again, but the Senators have only one more game -- Tuesday's clash against the visiting Coyotes -- before the All-Star break and ensuing bye week to afford him some extra rest.

Anderson (concussion) will defend the road net from the Blues on Saturday, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
This will be Anderson's first appearance since Dec. 21, when he was rocked for five goals on 25 shots in a road clash with the Devils. The Blues will reportedly counter with surging rookie netminder Jordan Binnington -- who owns a 3-0-1 record, 1.55 GAA and .937 save percentage -- but the Notes run a rather weak offense by means of averaging 2.78 goals per game (25th in the NHL).

Anderson (concussion) has been activated off of injured reserve, per the NHL media site.
EDGE Analysis
It was revealed earlier in the day that Anderson would join the team on its two-game road trip, but it remained unclear whether or not he would be available for either of the contests. His activation from injured reserve in concert with Marcus Hogberg's demotion to AHL suggests that the veteran netminder is ready to go. Friday's netminder hasn't been announced, so Anderson's return to the cage could arrive as soon as then.

Anderson (concussion) is feeling better and will travel with the team on its upcoming two-game road trip, Dean Brown of the Senators Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Senators' netminder has sat out the past 11 games with a concussion but will accompany the team on its mini two-game road trip. Traveling with the team is an encouraging step forward, with Anderson standing an outside shot of playing either Friday or Saturday on the road. Failing that, his next chance to start comes Tuesday at home against the Coyotes.

The Senators hope Anderson (concussion) will be ready for the weekend, with the team on the road to play the Hurricanes on Friday and the Blues on Saturday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson returned to practice Monday, which improves the chances of the veteran goalie dressing this weekend. The Senators only have two wins in the past 10 games without their workhorse available to stop pucks.

Anderson (concussion) was in attendance for a portion of Monday's practice session, Steve Lloyd of TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson is reportedly "doing better", per Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun, but the team has yet to provide a timeline for when the netminder might he ready to play. Until the veteran returns to the lineup, Anders Nilsson figures to continue carrying the bulk of the load for Ottawa.

Anderson (concussion) skated prior to practice Friday for the first time since getting hurt.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson remains without a timetable to return to the ice, which means he is probably still a week or more away -- especially considering he hasn't been cleared to practice with the team or take shots yet. In the meantime, the newly acquired Anders Nilsson figures to carry the load for the Sens in the blue paint.

Anderson (concussion) still has no timeline for his return, Ian Mendes of TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson reportedly has been off the ice entirely since he was diagnosed with a concussion ahead of the Christmas break. In the meantime, the Senators have been relying on rookie Marcus Hogberg -- who will start against the Canucks on Wednesday -- as well as Mike McKenna, a journeyman with only 34 NHL games under his belt.

Anderson (concussion) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, according to the NHL's official media site.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson will miss at least the next two games while on IR. The Senators can ill-afford to lose Anderson for a significant period of time, as he and Anaheim's John Gibson are second in the league in games played at 31 apiece, trailing only Marc-Andre Fleury of the Golden Knights and his 34-spot. Marcus Hogberg has been summoned from AHL Bellville, and he'll presumably serve as the No. 2 goalie behind Mike McKenna as long as Anderson remains out of commission.
