Craig Anderson recorded his third straight victory as the Ottawa Senators won 3-2 in overtime against the New Jersey Devils on Monday night.
The netminder faced nine shots in the first period and set aside all of them, but had trouble in the second when he allowed both goals on the same amount of shots. In the end, Anderson finished with 27 saves and has had three very solid outings to "boost" his goals-against average to 3.19, save percentage to .899 and win-loss record to 18-12-3. He's still very unreliable, so it's hard to recommend him beyond a reserve/situational starter, but one has to wonder how many wins he could have if he had more serviceable peripherals.
