Schneider (hip) is expected to serve as the No. 2 behind Keith Kinkaid against the Lightning on Tuesday, per Corey Long of NHL.com.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider spent three games in the minors on a conditioning assignment and will not dress for his first NHL game this year. The goaltender is slated to get a start at some point during the team's seven-game road trip; perhaps the back-to-back on Nov. 5/6.

Schneider (hip) was called back to New Jersey from his conditioning stint with AHL Binghamton.
EDGE Analysis
Considering the club made the decision to send Eddie Lack out on a conditioning assignment of his own, Schneider is all but guaranteed of at least being the backup versus Tampa Bay on Tuesday. During his three-game conditioning assignment, the netminder went 1-1-0 with a 2.67 GAA and .897 save percentage. Look for the 32-year-old to get a start at some point during the Devils' seven-game road trip.

Schneider (hip) is being closely monitored by Devils coach John Hynes during the goalie's conditioning stint with AHL Binghamton, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports, adding that there's a "distinct possibility" that Schneier will be on team charter to Tampa for the start of a seven-game road trip Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider looked good in his latest rehab start with Binghamton on Wednesday, as he led the minor-league club to a 3-1 win over Belleville with a 22-save performance. Despite losing three straight games, Keith Kinkaid has done an admirable job filling in for Schneider, as he owns a .921 save percentage along with four wins -- including two shutouts -- over seven games.

Schneider (hip) will patrol the crease for AHL Binghamton against AHL Charlotte on Friday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
In his previous start for the minor-league club, Schneider gave up just one goal on 23 shots to earn the club a win over AHL Belleville. It will be the third straight AHL appearance between the pipes for the netminder, as he continues to work his way back from injury. The Massachusetts native won't be available versus the Predators on Thursday, but could rejoin the lineup -- likely as the No. 2 behind Keith Kinkaid -- in Saturday's clash with the Panthers.

Schneider (hip) will get the start for Wednesday's minor-league clash with AHL Belleville, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
In his first appearance for AHL Binghamton on Saturday, Schneider allowed three goals on 31 shots, but was able to play the whole game. Even though he will be appearing in Wednesday's matchup, the netminder could still return to New Jersey in time for Thursday's matchup with Nashville -- although more likely than not he would serve as the backup to Keith Kinkaid.

Currently in the minors for conditioning purposes, Schneider (hip) will start against AHL Cleveland on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider was removed from injured reserve Friday, suggesting that he's not far away from returning to the NHL. The American backstop hasn't appeared in a game since April 21, so the Devils first want to see how he looks in the minors before he'd have a chance to make his season debut at the top level.

Schneider (hip) was taken off injured reserve Friday and will head down to AHL Binghamton for a conditioning assignment.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider will likely feature for Binghamton either Friday or Saturday, which rules him out versus the Flyers on Saturday, but there is a chance he could be back in time for Thursday's matchup with Nashville. Even once given the green light to play, the club could decide to ride Keith Kinkaid, who is 4-1-0 with two shutouts and a 1.61 GAA.

Schneider (hip) remains day-to-day, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider has returned to practice with the Devils, but for the most part, the veteran remains status quo with his injury. Of course, while the team is giving him the day-to-day designation, he's technically still on injured reserve. Keith Kinkaid reportedly will start against the Stars on Tuesday with Eddie Lack backing him up.

Schneider (hip) continues to work his way back from injury, with coach John Hynes telling reporters, "He's still practicing full and one that progression back to play. We're just not necessarily sure how quickly that will be," Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hynes followed up to say the club would re-evaluated Schneider in a few days to get a more definitive timeline. Even once cleared to play, the netminder may have to split time with Keith Kinkaid -- especially if the New York native can improve upon his Opening Night victory over the Oilers.

Schneider (hip) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Corey Masisak of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
This move was expected since Schneider was already set to miss the season opener, and that's the only game within the next week, which is the minimum stint on IR. Keith Kinkaid will get the start Saturday against the Oilers and will be backed up by Eddit Lack.
