Schneider will start in goal against host Tampa Bay on Saturday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Devils coach John Hynes seems to have the most trust in Schneider after watching alternate goalie Keith Kinkaid yield nine goals on 46 shots between Games 1 and 2. Of course, Schneider's done his part to prove that he belongs in the crease, as he was perfect in relief of Kinkaid in Game 2 and followed that up with two consecutive outings of allowing just two goals on 36 shots and winning once along the way. Still, he has the daunting task of stopping the top offense from the regular season, so Devils fans can only hope that Schneider brings his A-game in Game 5.

Schneider made 34 saves on 36 shots but still took the 3-1 loss against the Lightning in Wednesday's Game 4.
EDGE Analysis
Since taking over for Keith Kinkaid, Schneider has solidified things in net for the Devils. After stopping all 10 shots he faced in relief of Kinkaid in Game 2, the American netminder has made 34 saves on 36 shots in two straight games. Unfortunately, that couldn't get the Devils a win in Game 4, and they are now one loss away from elimination.

Schneider will be between the pipes for Wednesday's Game 4 matchup with Tampa Bay, Chris Ryan of NJ.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider will make back-to-back starts after stopping 34 of 36 shots in Game 3 on Monday to bring the Devils one game closer in the series. The netminder also is coming off his first win since Dec. 27 -- a stretch of 13 games without recording a victory. The Lightning offense will look to continue its dominate ways, as it is averaging 4.00 goals per game in the postseason.

Schneider stopped 34 shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
Both goals that beat him came on the power play, and Schneider followed up his impressive relief effort in Game 2 with his first victory of 2018 -- he last got into the win column Dec. 27. The 32-year-old lost his starting spot in the second half for a reason, but with the Devils looking to even the series at two games apiece Wednesday, expect coach John Hynes to keep riding the hot hand and stick with Schneider in net.

Schneider will get the starting nod for Monday's Game 3 clash with Tampa Bay, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider last started a playoff game during the 2012-13 season when he was with Vancouver. The netminder was perfect in his relief appearance during Game 2, in which he faced 10 shots. The 31-year-old hasn't logged consistent minutes since mid-January, so he may have some rust to shake off -- which he will need to do quickly against the LIghtning's high-powered offense. In fact, Schneider hasn't recorded a win since Dec. 27 versus Detroit.

Schneider appeared in relief in Saturday's 5-3 loss to Tampa Bay in Game 2 of their series. He stopped all 10 shots he faced and picked up an assist.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider went in late in the second and looked solid. He did take a chop to the back of his mask in the third, but shook it off. Still, Keith Kinkaid couldn't be faulted for any of the five goals he allowed, so there's a strong chance Double-K will be back in the paint in Game 3.

Schneider made 21 saves in a 5-3 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider has not won since December 27 and lost the starter's gig a long, long time ago. This was his last start of 2017-18 unless Keith Kinkaid falls apart or gets hurt in the playoffs. Schneider hopes to bounce back for 2018-19.

Schneider will defend the net in Saturday's regular-season finale against the Capitals in Washington D.C., Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider will get a tune-up game in the regular season finale, but he figures to serve in a backup capacity for the Devis' playoff run thanks to a breakout campaign for Keith Kinkaid. Schneider will attempt to end the campaign on a high note after a disappointing season, taking on a Capitals club that will be without T.J. Oshie on Saturday.

Schneider coughed up four goals on 14 shots, prior to getting replaced by Keith Kinkaid midway through the second period of Tuesday's 6-2 road loss to the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Let's just say that Schneider's first start in five games did not go swimmingly at the Shark Tank, and Kinkaid was unable to stop the bleeding as he surrendered two goals on only 11 shots the rest of the way. Still, Devils coach John Hynes seems reluctant to blame his tenders for the ugly loss. "To me it's not on the goaltender or either goaltender that was in," he said in a report by the Associated Press. "Our team has to be better in lots of aspects of it."

Schneider stopped 21 shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
He's now lost three straight starts since returning from his groin injury, allowing three goals in each one with an .888 save percentage. The Devils remain in a playoff spot for now, but Schneider will need to find his form quickly if they're going to stay there.
